The Clomid really messes up your period and causes all sorts of things to happen. I took it for awhile and it made me feel strange plus I felt bloated. I would call your doctor if you are having problems. By-the-way did you know the Clomid stays in your system after you quit taking it? It is one reason I quit.

I don't know about that. But I gave birth to girl after taking clomid and one of my friend who was also given clomid gave birth to girl so in my case it is 100%. And I know one more lady she also gavve birth to girl after taking clomid.

Day one would be considered the day you actually see red. So if you are suppose to take it days 3-7....... then take it two days after. Do not start taking it until you actually have a true period because it should not be taken if there is a chance you could be pregnant.

I think you are asking whether or not the higher the dosage of clomid more likely you are to get pregnant--- not necessarily because treatment starts at 50 mg for five days, the intervals are called cycles. The dr. will check for ovulation after the cycle--if you ovulate, you will remain on that dose for all cycles--normally six. if no ovulation, dr. will increase to 100mg. and try that dose for that entire cycle. The highest dose is 250mg but very few women go up that high cause of the effectiveness of clomid. usually after a couple of increases it will be combined with another fertility med. I just read on a pregnancy test I just took that Clomid does not affect the results of pregnancy tests, only gonal-f and other drugs like it. You should go to your doctor and take a blood test just to make sure! Good luck!

I was on clomid for 3 months then I experienced sever cramping but no bleeding/discharge. I went for a preg. test and it was negative. 5days later I went again and it was positive. The doctor said the cramping could be from the implantation and Ive read the bleeding(spotting) can too. Best thing to do would be to talk to your doctor and get blood test done until you know for sure. I was told if my levels kept rising we would wait and see if the pregnancy stayed but if I had any bleeding I would go for an ultrasound and if I had miscarried I would start my 4th month of Clomid at a higher level. So far Im 7 weeks pregnant so we'll wait and see.
