If your contacts are ripped can you still wear them?
Im no optician but I am a fairly regular contact lens wearer. I would never where a torn contact lens. For one it would be uncomfortable, you would feel it on your eye and with you blinking it would get soar. Next, with the tear it will catch on and under your eye lid and who knows where it will move to. My advice, if you have your contacts on perscription delivered to your door then you are allowed one extra emergency pair every 3 months. But I must state that I only know this with my provider which is with spec savers. But either way, who ever your with just make a call and state that its urgent, whats the worst they can say!!

Some contact lenses are approved to sleep in because they offer higher oxygen transmission but you can also sleep occasionally in any contact. Each contact has a rating for how much oxygen is allowed through. O2Optix has a rating of ~110 and Biomedics has a rating of ~20. You can sleep in Biomedics but they are not anywhere near the ~100 rating needed to be recommended for sleep. Your eyes dry while you sleep and causes the contacts to become slightly dry. Blink a few times when you wake up and then keep your eyes closed and move your eyes. This will lubricate them and make them act normal.
Clean your contacts often and correctly and eye infections won't be a problem.
