I live in New Braunfels, TX and I will tell you that there are millions of crawfish in this river. The provide a nutrient rich diet for the many species of fish the feed along the banks and tree roots. If you live on the river, you may notice that during heavy rains the crawfish will actually make there way into your back yard. I'm not sure why they do this but they do.
