Whitney replicas were made by Palmetto in Italy. They were imported by Navy Arms and Richland. Last imported around 2004 current stock is drying up. single barrel was probably an Iver Johnson. There were double barrel models made probably by Iver Johnson and possibly Stevens. They were made under contract after WWI for Sharpliegh Hardware in St Louis. This was common practice as Iver Johnson would put your Company name or logo or P/N on anything they made . Iver Johnson originally made bicycles and merged into firearms. Their Champion guns were sold with as many as 20+ different names on them. I have 6 different guns and they all resemble each other very much. Am looking for an extractor for a 12 gague single Champion.

To the answer of the Crescent shotgun #410 ser #738471. I don't know what the answer, is but I think it has to be very old. I am 77 years old and when I was six years old, my grandfather and I would go squirrel hunting with it.
I think it originally it belonged to his father. I am passing it on to my great grandson, Justin Hunter Lacy at this time--he is 12 Years old.

Basically, you can't. AFAIK, no definitive history has been written on Crescent. They built utilitarin firearms, that weren't that expensive to begin with. If you had one NIB, it might be worth 150 USD.

Oh, dude, you're asking about a Laclede Gun Co. double barrel 12 gauge shotgun with hammers? That's like asking me to recite the entire history of the universe in one breath. All I can say is, it's a shotgun, it's got two barrels, it's a 12 gauge, and it's got hammers. So, yeah, there you go.

Central Arms Co. was the name applied to firearms made by the H & D Folsom/Crescent Arms Co. for the Shapleigh Hdw. Co. of St Louis. This organization, Folsom/Cresent Arms, manufactured low cost firearms under a number of different names. You could actually buy the same firearm at a number of different stores with different names on it.

These Folsom/Crescent made guns have very little collector value and in the various firearm pricing guides (which you can buy at most large book stores) they generally lump them all together (if they mention them at all) with a value of from $50 to $200 depending on condition, with the statement that you should have any one of them checked by a qualified gunsmith before shooting. That said I have noticed, though, that the value of some of these low cost "trade guns" if they are in very good condition, rarely found, are starting to escalate in value. This is especially true if they are in one of the smaller guages.

By the way, these shotguns were made by Cresent arms in norwich, conneticut. The word rev-o-noc is conover hardware spelled backwards. HSB & Co. made them for Conover hardware.

Made by Hopkins & Allen, 1914-15 for Shapleigh Hardware. A variation of H&A model 722. 2 versions--straight stock/pistol grip stock. $50-$100, depending on condition. These guns are valued as basic shooters, not as collectibles. Many of these are approaching 100 years old, please have checked by a smith before shooting anything in them. Some used an older, SHORTER shell, and are unsafe with current day ammo.

I have a HSB double barrel shot gun with hammer cocks and a rooster insignia on it and would like to know how much it is worth, it is a 12 gauge w/ hammer cocks, geniune armory steel-chock bored ser.#151404 (metal arm stock lock)32" barrel. I have looked up all the information about HSB that I can find and to no avail have I been able to find out anything about this fire arm, and several people have made me great offers for it and I have no idea what to tell them, so if there is the slightest chance that you could come up with a price or more information about this fire arm then I would be greatly thankful.
