Depends on postage... However if it's a standard letter, then airmail (21czk) is only 1 crown more expensive than normal standard mail... It shouldn't take more than 3-4 business days for the letter to get airmailed to the US and then it all depends on USPS and on where in the States you sent you letter. My letters usually take no longer than 5-7 business days.

Prague Castle has origins in the 9th century and was enlarged and further fortified in the 13th century. It is a great place to visit.

As a part of austrian empire it participated in first world war, however most people that got the chance fought against the empire. Before that it was involved in many wars that took place in Europe. The 30-years war was started by Czechs (back then they were called Bohemians) rebelled against austria mainly for religious reasons. Bohemia was also host of Hussite wars in 15th century.

The Czech Republic is a member of NATO, the European Community, and the United Nations. Its closest allies are the other European members of those organizations. The Czech Republic is a member of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), which for sure, makes it an ally of: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, The UK, The US, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia.
