Well, as I am sure you know from personal experience, most guys are very hard to figure out. Most act differently around girls then they do around their friends, which can make it difficult to identify exactly what their actions mean. I do not know the person you are talking about, so it makes it difficult to diagnose the reason for his actions. My best guess is that he either feels awkward around you because he knows that you like him or just does not know you well. Or, he might like you. ALOT. Him not speaking may mean that he does not know what to say to you and he does not want to give away the way he feels about you. For your sake I hope it is the latter. Not all guys kissing is gross, just sometimes but its because they are unsure how and slobber a bit. But its not really gross its kind of funny. Girls kissing is okay cause they go for it short and easy instead of trying to make out!
