I think you should make sure you really have strong feelings for him/her; do you really want him to be your first kiss? You should start off by hugging and holding hands, then maybe when he walks you home from school or something kiss him on the cheeck, like a little goodbye kiss. If you think you're ready to kiss on the lips, make sure he's ready to. Be brave, and go up and ask him (but not at school surrounded by his friends) After that, just go for it! Your first kiss should probably be short and sweet, but meaningful at the same time. then continue on from there. There's no need to rush it! Take your time. well, the age of majority means that by law you can do certain things, buy alcohol, drive etc, the age of consent is the age of which the law deems you to have enough common sense to understand a situation, and depending on where you live an 18 yr old dating a 16 yr old is considered stautory rape and the 18 yr old can go to jail! however, most places in north America deem the age of consent to be 16 so you should be fine
