Can straight and gay guys be friends?
Yes. I am a straight male, and my best friend is gay. I have tons of straight guy friends, and tons of girl friends, but none of them get along with me as well as my best friend. We actually consider each other family, and he, being adopted and having no blood relatives, means that in the literal sense. He comes over to my house almost every other day to hang out, and even when I'm not home just to hang out with MY family. That's how close we are. However, he is in love with me, and I mean IN love. He would kill to protect me as I would for him. Whenever one of us is upset so is the other, we can just tell with each other. I NEVER feel awkward with him either. We'll wrestle around and play football together (he is actually very into sports). I don't even feel awkward when he's ver close to me. If we're watching TV together I don't feel awkward if he's leaning on me at all. We are just simply brothers. And I don't know how, but he somehow is fine with all this. I asked him when he told me he loved him if he still wanted to be friends because I don't want to hurt him if I ever like another girl, and him knowing I'll never love him. But he said no and that being my brother was all he wanted. He for some reason is more understanding than anyone I know. I know if I were in his shoes it would kill me to see him kiss other girls and know I could never be with him. But he's not like that at all. So yes, straight guys can have best friends that are gay.

Try going out with a less attractive sort of skinny geeky guy, seriously. They end up earning more money, they learn to be cooler and they usually don't cheat. They are willing to do nice stuff with you, want to spend time, are generally good at listening and still really really want to get into your pants, which is flattering. Plus, when you get older and see how hot they grew up to be you'll be seriously delighted at your good taste. Spots go away, skinny turns into lean, and shy turns into thoughtful around age 21 to 27... it's really neat to watch. I seriously wish I'd had someone tell me this in high school...
