How did davie crocket die?

David Crockett was the last man to die at the Alamo in 1836 . After Santa Anna and his army won the Battle of the Alamo , they captured Mr. Crockett and made him prisoner . Santa Anna said in spanish to him , "If you wish to beg for your life , this would be the appropriate time ." He then turned to Almonte and said , "Explain this to him ." Almonte then stepped forward and said to Crockett in English , "Throw yourself on the mercy of His Excellency , Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna !" Cockett slowly looked around at the hundreds of Mexican troops surrounding him ; then looking and stareing at Santa Anna and smiling a little , he said , "You're Santanna ?" Santa Anna nodded , and Crockett said , "Thought you would be taller ." He then said to Almonte , "Tell him I am willing to discuss terms of surrender ." Almonte translated in Spanish what Crockett said , and Santa Anna smiled at Crockett , while enjoying a game of cat and mouse . Crockett said , "If the general here will have his men put down their weapons and peacefully assemble , I promise I will take you to General Houston and try my best to get him to spare most of your lives . That said (smiling a little wider ) Sam's a mite prickly ...so no promises . Tell him." Almonte hestated while glancing at Santa Anna . "Tell him!" , angrily Crockett barked . Almonte turned to Santa Anna and said in Spanish , "He wants us to surrender , Excellency ." The smile faded from Anna's face , he raised his hand and nodded to the execution squad . Castrillon ( one of Santa Anna's men ) stepped forward and said to Anna , " Excellency , please spare him !" A sergeant shouted to the execution squad , "Kill him !" Crockett said , "I'm a screamer . I got the roughest racin' horse , the prettiest sister , the surest rifle and the ugliest dog in the district . I am half horse and half alligator with a whiff of harricane ..." "Kill him !" David Crockett then said grinning , as he stared directly into the eyes of the execution squad , " I'm a screamer ..." What is the yield range of a Davy Crockett warhead and is it considered a fission or fusion bomb?

The Davy Crocket bomb has a warhead with less than natural critical mass, so it uses a different technique based on the Swan Device of 1952. In essence it smashes Lithium into Trittium to create a Plasma Pinch.

In other words it uses conventional explosives to crush together elements which cause a fusion reaction. This creates a strong neutron flux which causes a very small amount of fissile material (Plutonium) to undergo a chain reaction.

This type of weapon also has a dial up yield so in other words the yield can be adjusted up or down by varying the amount of Trittium, but only in a range from about 0.01 to 1 kiloton.

Now that I have explained how it works I hope you will understand if I say it is a Fission weapon but it requires Fusion first to initiate the blast.

It is a hybrid Fission weapon. Also referred to as boosted Fission weapon.
