In Greek mythology, Demeter was an Olympian goddess. Her Roman equivalent was Ceres. She was the goddess of harvest.

Demeter was the goddess of harvest. her power was to make ferility in earths crops and make any living thing grow. tht was her responsibilty. when Demeter was depressed she would cut off crops and starve people for weeks.

Well, in my opinion, Demeter is the most important goddess. She is my hero! The powers that she as are very important to our living, even if they are good or bad. Her powers are changing the weather, growing nature (trees, flowers, etc...), nature control (such as for example, destroying their enimes with powers from nature, like branhes tying up a person, or moving trees to discover a pathway), and magicly, she has the power to make flowers every step she makes ( Persephone -demeters daughter- can also do that cuz shes the goddess of flowers), and when she sings nature grows as well. Now, people reafer to Demeter as "mother nature" and that is kinda true, but not exacly. The real Mother nature is Gaia (aka Gaea). Demeter i guess u can say is kinda like a princess of Gaia, but Demeter is more of a Mother Nature, and she is more important and more powerful than Gaia (no offence Gaia!). The Natural desasters you see today such as tornados, hurricanes, etc, are done by Demeter herself. But don't blame it on her!! Sometimes the earth has to have naturaly disasters to survive. But the God Re-Atum emerged from these waters to create/spit out 2 other Gods (which represent air and moisture) and then these Gods went and had 2 kids who represented the earth and sky.
I'd say Re-Atum would be the God of the Gods... Seeing as he technically started the whole process."
