A desert is neither a plain nor a landform. A plain is a landform.
What kind of desert animal will come out during the day?
Simple, to stay cool. The surface of the sand is incredibly hot and radiates the air with absorbed and reflected heat from the sun. But only a few inches under and the sand is cool enough to tolerate and stay to wait out until the sun goes down.
Are there any deserts in Vietnam?
yes there is a desert in vietnam. it is in Mui Ne
No. The closest might be some plains areas. Wide open flat places, like large meadows. But vegetation was the character of South Vietnam; the place wasn't necessarily wet everywhere either, there were places that were dry and dusty but heavily forested. This is true

My biome is the desert biome. The desert biome is usually dry and extremely hot. Precipitation in the desert is scarce but there are some rainstorms, when it does rain it usually evaporates right when it hits the ground. Sometimes there are major rainstorms that can flood the desert, but then after that there can be no rain for weeks or even months. The temperature there is always extreme; it can usually reach up to 100+ degrees there. The reason for this is because there are no clouds to block the sun out. Deserts can expand for miles and miles on end, also one important fact about deserts is that it covers one fifth (20%) of the earth.
Plant life in the desert is usually never seen but there is still some plant life. Plant life here includes the Barrel Cactus, Brittle Bush, Chain Fruit Cholla, Creosote Bush, and the Crimson Hedgehog Cactus. The barrel cactus is a beautiful cactus not only because of its shape (circle) but because of the beautiful flower that's sprouts at the top of it. The Brittle Bush is a common plant that can be seen in the desert. Uses for this plant are that you can make toothpaste out of the residue that is inside of its stem. The Chain Fruit Cholla is a cactus that looks more like a tree than a cactus. It also grows pear shaped fruits that can grow for years off of the cactus. The Creosote Bush is named this because it smell a lot like the creosote tar that is used on telephone poles. The bushes leaves can be used for antiseptics. Then last but not least is the Crimson Hedgehog Cactus. It is called the Crimson Hedgehog cactus because there is a big Crimson flower at the top of it.
There a ton animal life in the desert. Some examples of these animals are Caracal, Black tail Jackrabbit, Fennec Fox, Kangaroo Rat, and the Meerkat. The Caracal, which looks like a Lynx, eats birds and rodents. It can usually weigh up to 20-40 pounds. The Black tailed Jackrabbit eats cacti, sagebrush, grasses, and clover. The Fennec Fox usually eats birds and bird eggs. During the day they usually burrow underground when it's the hottest. The Kangaroo Rat usually eats seeds and leaves. They are approximately 1.25-6.25 oz. then last but not least there is the cute Meerkat. The Meerkat usually feeds on insects and lizards. There homes are burrows that can go on for a long time.
Animals adapt to the desert in many different ways. Some examples of these adaptations include burrowing. Many animals burrow underground during the day to keep cool. At night is when these animals hunt for there food. Some also dig burrows to reach the water tables underground. Some reptiles have special adaptations that can trigger moisture to there mouth when they are parched.
Three interesting facts about the desert are that the desert is not always hot. It can drop as low as 18 degrees Fahrenheit. Also most deserts are covered in jagged rocks not sand. Most desert go without twelve months of rain.

It also can save as much moisture as it can in its body.
Good hunting skills, speed are all things that are necessary for the desert.
Are there any humans living in the desert?
Yes, of course. Deserts exist within many countries, including Egypt, China, Iraq, Afganistan, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, and even the United States (for example, most of our southwest states are mainly desert climates!). The main things that are necessary are access to food, shade, and water---the water is the hardest to get, but it can be found within an oasis, on the insides of some plants, or even be irrigated or piped from another area. Air conditioning is also helpful, though not readily available in all places. Many deserts have rock formations, caves, or occasional sporadic plants which will provide shelter from the sun.
What food do you need in the desert?

What continent is the desert who's name means desert desert?
Sahara means desert and is on the African continent.
The Namibian Desert is very dry due to the influence of the subtropical ridge, a subtropical zone with strong high pressure systems, which means dry descending, sinking air over the horse latitudes (the latitudes between 30 and 35 degrees south or north), which prevent any ascending movement and annihilates the cloud and rain formation. The subtropical ridge is formed by the general atmospheric circulation, more precisely formed by the Hadley Cell. The aridity of the Namibian Desert is also caused by the influence of a cold ocean current, come directly from the Poles, the Benguela Current which cools off the air along the coast of the South Africa. The Benguela Current prevent any strong air heating, thus preventing the air to lift, to rise up and to form clouds and precipitation although some fog, haze and low clouds are produced but enough rarely. The combinaison of the subtropical high pressure systems belt and the influence of the Benguela Current gives clear skies and sunny, dry weather to the Namibian Desert all the time.
What parts of Africa receive under 10 inches of rainfall?
The Sahara Desert in the north, the Kalahari Desert in the south and the Namib Desert in the southwest receive less than 10 inches of annual rainfall.
Can a parrot live in a desert?
Toucans are not designed for the desert. Every animal is designed to its own habitat. If the gradually works up there to the desert, which would take many years, they may eventually evolve.
Deserts may not also have the toucan's necessary diet. Plus, toucans are used to the humidity and rain, not little rain and dryness. Toucans are also used to shade. Toucans would also not blend in to the desert surroundings, and would be succeptible to predators.
Hope this helps!
What are the adaptations of the desert hedgehogs?
The desert hedgehog, as its name suggests, inhabits desert and arid scrub, mostly in Africa and the Middle East. To that end, it needs a number of adaptations to help it survive these harsh conditions.
Firstly, it is a nocturnal animal, hunting for food at night time. This helps it to keep cool. During the day, the desert hedgehog stays within a small burrow that it digs to avoid the heat.
Naturally, being a desert animal, it must feed on what is readily available in the desert environment. it is particularly fond of scorpions, from which it nips off the stinger before consuming. It also eats other invertebrates, baby snakes, and birds' eggs. Its kidneys are specially adapted so that it can go for long periods of time without needing to drink water.
The desert hedgehog is covered with tiny, sharp spines. When the desert hedgehog is threatened by danger, its muscles contract (tighten) and pull the skin taut around its body. This enables it to roll into a ball so that its spines will stick out in all directions, providing a very effective, protective covering.

Seeds from palnts that have lain dormant for many years would sprout and the desert would quickly turn green. If the rain continued over a lengthy period the entire ecosystem of the desert would change.
