Diabetes

Diabetes is caused when the body does not produce or properly use insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar, starches, and other foods to energy. Causes are not known, but appear to be both genetic and environmental, with being overweight and not getting exercise being contributing factors. Is diabetes preventable?

Unfortunately not yet. Vaccines provide protection only for specific viral diseases. Diabetes is not a viral disease, so it does not have a vaccine. The best way to avoid type 2 diabetes is by eating a healthy diet and excersising.

It depends. You have to monitor your blood sugars. If your under 75ish you are usually counted as low and above 200ish is high.

There was a time when organic walnuts weren’t easy to find, and I would go store to store looking for the perfect batch of walnuts. That was until I came across organic walnuts by Organic Tattva at a supermarket. To my surprise it was competitively priced when compared to regular walnuts, but the taste, and nutritional values were far beyond the regular walnuts that were available on the shelves. From that day, Organic Tattva has been my go-to brand for walnuts and other dry fruits. They are available at all leading supermarkets, and various e-commerce sites as well. If you love walnuts, I would recommend you to try Organic Tattva.

What is the affect of high blood sugar and the kidneys and capillaries?

High blood sugar makes the blood an oxidizing agent, so it slowly oxidizes (burns) the tissues it contacts. Over a few months, persistent high blood sugar will burn the capillaries causing Diabetic Angiopathy. This in turn slowly kills off peripheral nerves (Diabetic Neuropathy), and then over the years, the glomeruli of the kidneys (Diabetic Nephropathy).

Neuropathy can result in lost feet, and Nephropathy can result in total kidney failure, so both should be avoided assiduously by keeping blood sugar levels low. Just how low is currently the subject of debate but a good starting point in your research could be made by using the page links, further down this page, listed under Related Links.

Can type 2 diabetes be reversed?

(Not a doctor) I was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile diabetes when I was 3 years old. I have had and managed diabetes for 17 years. Yes, I suppose you could contract type 2 diabetes later on in life if you had the genetic coding for it, but it would most likely be unnoticeable. Both diabetes are just a resilience to insulin, type 1 being the worse, so yes you could contract it, but would it matter if you already had type 1? No, you'd still be nothing more than resistant to insulin. Oi Oi and good luck.

Insulin resistance is caused by obesity and a family history of insulin resistance. You can develop insulin resistance without these, but it's rare. Insulin resistance leads to type 2 diabetes

Answer

NO!A person with type 2 diabetes pancreas still produces insulin just not enough of it, BUT A person with type 1 diabetes pancreas no longer produces ANY insulin at all .SO unless there is a cure for diabetes where they have somehow found away to make the pancreas of a type 1 diabetic start to produce insulin, there is NO possible way for a person with type 1 diabetes to suddenly START producing a little insulin from their pancreas and magically become a type 2 diabetic!

What is a diabetic emergency caused by very high blood sugar?

Hypoglycemia is the name of the emergency caused by low blood sugar. It can result in confusion, unconsciousness, and when severe, seizures and brain damage. If the patient is still awake and is found to have low blood sugar, giving them something sugary to drink, such as juice, can help prevent them from losing consciousness.
