There are no Chinese stations on the basic DirecTV packages. However, DirecTV offers multiple packages for people who want international channels. It costs extra, and will require another "dish" to be installed at your house though.

I was able to use the code 11314 with my Hisense TV. My Directv remote now controls the volume as well as the on/off power but unfortunately not the tv input.

Make a template of the rim circumference. Measure the length of the receiver to the deepest part of the dish.

Obtain a piece of clear ultraviolet resistant plastic and make a template large enough to include the receiver and circumference of the dish and add about one inch to the outer edge.

Obtain a bungee type chord and sew it into the one inch space.

leave a 2 in space where the ends come together.

Cover the dish and receiver and when there is a snug fit tie the two chord ends together with a square knot and finish sewing the opening.

Once the cover is in place spray with pam and wipe off residue. This will shed water and keep the dish dry. renew the spray once a month.

9:00 am,Sundays. The channel is either fox 5 or my9 , I don't remember which one but it is definitely one of those two.

Honestly, you can't. The only way that you can channel search is to do it through your local cable or satellite's set-top-box.

SOLUTION: Ok... I HAD the same problem... Direct TV Remote wouldn't work with Olevia TV despite ANY codes that Direct TV or anybody replying to solution forums say they are. I DID find a solution though! Use the Remote's Code search function, BUT SKIP the first code that turns off the TV... CONTINUE to press the Channel + button after manually turning the TV back on after the first successful code that turns off the TV. This is the ONLY solution that I have found that works and I haven't seen it posted on any solution site. TRY IT.. BET IT WORKS FOR YOU AS WELL! (If not, skip the 2nd code as well... Olevia HAD to have copied a major brand-name's remote code scheme because all the generic TV manufacturers end up copying a known companies' setup... but a LOT of them neglect to tell you which brand they copied... I have owned many generic TV's that I couldn't get codes for for many remotes through the past 35 years... and this has been the case on ALL OF THEM!) Keep this in mind when you think you can't get a remote to control basic functionality with ANY TV and ANY remote.

on dtv remote slide switch to tv press and hold mute and select until light flashes twice ,press 9 9 1 then 1 again ,press power button under slider then press channel button up one at a time until tv turns off, then press select,, if u think u passed the code(tv turned off while programming, but now does not turn on)you can repeat process, when you get to the channel up part just press down instead. yea boy, i got ur back

Short answer, yes. It needs to be installed with a clear view of the southern sky. If you're in a complex without a clear view or just can't install it on the roof, your only non-dish option is cable tv.

Our satellites for DISH Network have a southwestern direction. I'm not sure but I believe DTV is the same.

Depending on where you live, locals are either on the 79.5, 95, or 103 degrees satellites. National HD programming is on the 110 or the 119 degree satellites. Standard programming generally falls on the 101 degree satellite.
