How do you save a divorce at the age of ten?
You don't because you really don't know the facts of what has happened to your parents. You only think you know, but there are things between two people that no one else can know. At 10 there are adult things that you can't understand, but DO NOT think it is your fault. Many children think they are the cause of a divorce. YOU ARE NOT. Take my word for this, but you also can not stop it. The best you can do is not dislike or hate one or the other of your parents, try to know that it most likely can not be stopped, and your life will change. Life is about change and what happens to us is what we do with the change. You may feel angry at one or both of your parents and that is OK you have suffered a loss. You may feel sad and that is also OK, but what we do with our feelings is what is important. There are stages that people go through and you will be angry, sad, lonely, and feel a loss. This is natural. Some days you may not want to do school work, but you can not just think about this and forget the things you need to do. If you need to talk find someone you can talk to. Ask your parents to help you by letting you go to counseling. The more you work through this the better off you will be in the future. Just remember life isn't always easy, but you can get through it.

Was there divorce among the Kikuyu in the old days?
The Kikuyu are a group of Bantu people who live in East Africa.
Yes, there was divorce in Kikuyu custom. The process of paying dowry for a wife was a long one. It took an average of twelve years to pay off the dowry requested in the first true negotiation. The Kikuyus accommodated a man by allowing him to make a part payment fo his dowry. However, he was to complete his debt by the time his first daughter was ready for marriage to ensure that he did not receive a daughter's dowry before he himself had completed his part.
During these years, he was allowed to divorce because all it took would be for his wife's family to return the dowry paid in animals, crops and honey. First, old, respectable men would take his wife from his homestead to her father's homestead. This was to ensure that she arrived at her father's home because she had been previously under the care of her husband. Secondly, the woman's family would be indebted to return all the dowry paid.
If She happened to get a suiter, two options were possible. Either, her family would refund all dowry paid to them in order to receive the new dowry or the suiter would pay her former husband's family directly to pay of her dowery family's debt.
The situation became complicated if the husband had completed paying his whole dowry debt. This was what was called "gwatura kiande". At this stage, a wife belonged to a man completely and a man could not divorce her. She belonged to him "matu na hia". In such a case, he could only marry a second or other wife and simply ignore the wife he was not interested in because her family could not take her back at all.
kind of a broad question, but I'll bite, LOL. After a divorce you should not rush into a new relationship. That might be a mistake -- you could have unresolved feelings that end up damaging a new relationship. Plus, you might get serious too fast because it feels better to be with someone than to be alone with your feelings. You also should not do anythign mean to your ex. Be the bigger person.

salam alaikum brother
there is nothing rule called three divorce at once.. even you say divorce for three times or 1000 times at that time it will be considered as one time... read surah baqarah, chapter 2 verse 227 onward concentrate on word talaq ul marra taaan
means two times divorce i.e. one time you say divorce than w8 for 3 months.. period.. if you feel you can live again with your wife ask her.. if she agrees without any further marraige contract both of them continue this can be done for 2 times only after third time .. that woman have to marry someone else.. if shee feels she cannot stay with that other guy than she can remarry with her old husband.. but with new marriage contract.. but after one divorce also there is some specific time period after that .. if both of them agree to unite again they have to remarry .. cannot be united on same marriage contract...!!

What legal options are available to a spouse to prevent a divorce from being granted?
United States
I am an attorney who practices in family court. Most states are "no fault" divorce states in which you can merely assert that the marriage is "irretrievably broken" as a basis for a dissolution of marriage. Now, if the other partner answers the petition in writing to the court denying that the marriage is "irretrievably broken" the court may require the parties to undergo some marriage counseling to determine if the marriage can be reconciled before granting the divorce. However, judges will not force parties to stay married if the petitioning spouse still wants to dissolve the marriage.

If you apply for divorce and your spouse refutes it, most Judges accept your application irregardless of your spouse's response on the logic that if one person wants a divorce then the marriage is over.
