HOW MUCH IS A MARY KAY PORCELAIN DOLL WORTH?
I can't tell you how much it is worth, but I can tell you how to find out. Collectable items like dolls sell and are priced on the secondary market. Depending on the item and how many people collect it the price can be a few dollars to several hundred. A item's value is determined by if it is still produced or retired, when it was made, who made it, if it is numbered, the shape it is in, if the papers are with it and if there is a box. Even the condition of the box can raise or lower the value of the doll. For collectors books are made each year showing the market values of dolls and other items. The secondary market is a little like the stock market because values can go up or down over night. Go to a large bookstore and find the section on collectibles and here you will find the secondary market books. Look up your doll. You can also go on ebay to find a doll like yours and see what it sells for. Both methods will give you an approximate value.

How do you reborn the berenguer dolls?
Reborn process HAIR If the baby has factory molded and painted hair first sand all of the molded hair off for a smooth more realistic look. Full head of Ultra micro rooted high quality mohair. This is a very long process. I spend many hours just on a babies hair alone. I use a very fine felting needle. Makes it feel like real baby hair. The hair can be styled in many different ways just by wetting it with a little water. or use high quality wig. Eyes Also hand her upper and lower lashes in the same color to compliment the babies little face. Also hand applied the babies eyebrows which are permanent. Also replaced her factory eyes with more realistic Eyes. I put a tiny dab of gloss varnish in the corners of her eyes for a more realistic "wet eye" appearance. Skin and blushing details color with high quality paints (GHSP is paints of choice to a lot of reborn artist.) on the inside after that is dried with high quality oil paints carefully blush in all the sweet baby creases and rolls. This is done in many layers making a very real appearance.Coloring the baby lips to a more realistic color and sealed them with a high quality varnish to prevent chipping. Then gently manicured her tiny baby fingernails and toenails to appear to have that ''just clipped'' baby look. Then seal the baby nails with a non yellowing, non chipping high quality varnish. Body and head after the inside of the head is purple washed opened the nose so that she can "breathe" then backed it with felt in the inside of the head to prevent any leakage. The head, arms and legs is weighted with tiny glass beads so it will be wobbly yet secure. Then seal to prevent leakage. Custom jointed doll body makes the baby very pose able! use polyfill and poly pellets inside the cloth body. Stuffed so that The babyis cuddly yet has the weight of a real baby without being stuffed too full!

the shampoodle was a toy produced by Hasbro in the 90's. it was a plastic/vinyl poodle with curly brushable hair that sat in an upright/begging position. it came in a few different colours (i specifically recall having seen them in at least pink and purple) and they came with a comb and a small measuring cup. the locket on the collar opened and you could pour in some of your own shampoo and bathwater with the special measuring cup. then you close the locket and squeeze shampoodle's belly to mix the shampoo and water. doing so would create suds that came out of small holes in the top of her head and then you could style or wash the poodle's hair with it. after bathtime was over, you could unscrew the plug on the bottom of the shampoodle and rinse out the insides. its a shame it was such a short lived toy, they were pretty fun!

How much is a John F. Kennedy doll worth still in the box?
Some time around l964 Aurora Products co ( Hobby Manufacturer) went light-years outside their normal field and marketed a kit-statue of John F Kennedy in a seated posture on a Rocking chair. this was a kit and not an assembled doll, although almost certainly there were pre-assembled demonstrators as with other hobby kits- I have a (Demonstrator) of the famous model of the Big Bertha 280MM railroad gun in a plastic case, pre-assembled the (Gustav) or (Leopold) as it was called ( not by Aurora) as this is not strictly speaking a doll, but is related. I seem to recall, owing to rarity and collector value a figure of about $35 for an unassembled kit would sound right. they originally retailed for $5.00 or less( this was l964). Aurora is no longer in business, so chances of a re-issue are very scanty.
First you have to make a mold. Then mix a two part foam into the mold. This will give you a copy made of foam. The cost for making a full size mold will be high.
