Lupita is a diminutive for Lupe, nickname of the actress Lupe Velez who tragically died in l944. This was something of the Marilyn Monroe death scandal of its time and was only overshadowed by the Global War- (world war II) not at all directly connected with the War, she overdosed on sleep medications( as did Monroe) there were some similarities to the later Landis Suicide. ( the actress, not the Judge!) Because of this tragic background- well it kind of works against a Lupe Velez doll. I have never heard of one. Likewise, Hobby manufacturers avoided making models of the Lockheed Electra Model l0 as they felt this was too morbid ( Amelia"s mount). so it goes. On the other hand Titanic collectible items and Marilyn Monroe dolls, etc are quite common.

I suspect your parents have a good reason for not giving you a Chucky doll. First, the doll stands for awful things in very bad movies so they probably don't want to promote what this doll stands for. Second, it would be an ugly doll. Third, I sense you are old enough not to play with dolls. If you want the doll go earn some money to buy one.

It"a a composite- like different uniform helmets for GI joe. The troll dolls were called Wishniks, had one-piece heads- and nothing to do with the Beatles. there were a variety of Beatles figures and sets with the appropriate collarless suits ( oddly a bit like Baseball uniforms in that respect)-and the trademark Beatles haircuts. As what you are talking about is not a standard item, I can"t assign any value.

Tressy, also spelled Tressie, was originated by American Character, better known to many for their Western dolls (Bonanza) and multi-role Chuck Wagon. Tressy, spelled as Tressie- the name relating to her hair gimmick was later Sold to Ideal Toy corporation when American Character packed up, so to speak. they were only marketed through Sears Catalogues and stores and not advertised on TV as were the A.C . Tressies. that"s the story, rather like record albums on different labels with the same song!

First of all it"s a top Flite ( really Top Flight, but advertising spelling is Top Flite) the Monokote process was originally developed for- shrink-wrapping fabric coverings on the wings of- you guessed it model airplanes. it came out in the seventies and was quite popular for a spell, as it was a proprietary product of the Top Flite company. Model airplane hobby has , sadly cracked-up and I do not even know if Top Flite is still in business. good luck! Product and system were never intended for doll work- but covering of wings on model airplanes.

BFC doll hair is rooted directly into the doll's head.

Wigs sized for a 12" Blythe doll will fit a BFC doll's head, should you wish to change their hair--- the rooted hair can be cut off close to the head and the wig put over it.

There was no World"s Fair in the year l963. the l964-65 New York World"s fair may be what you have in mind, of course, toys can be releaed ealry to build up anticipatory Box Office, so to speak. There were dolls of a twin boy and girl in carnival-Life Minstrel costumes, both with red hair and the red and white costume associated with Carnival Barkers and Minstrels such as ( Your father"s Mustache). They were also made, if my memory serves me right in inflatable Balloon form, possibly by Ideal who did all right with the inflatable Gaylord dog toy. Good Luck!

YES! :D A obitsu is made for any type of doll, and remember these facts when your buying the body: 1.they come in two colors (white and regular and if your lucky you'll fing the dark skin tone.) 2. the 25 cm is perfect for pullips. Some dolls can... ones that are made that way. And, even in those cases, the doll itself isn't moving the eyes, usually the person moving the doll also moves the eyes. Most dolls do not have moveable eyes.
