She was married four times: to musician Al Jorden; George Weidler; Martin Melcher and Barry Comden. The first 2 and last one ended in divorce; Melcher died in 1968.

It is very difficult to find the exact location of Day's home in Carmel. She is a very private person and has kept info about her home to a minimum. It is believed that she does live in the general vicinity of the 17 mile road from Carmel to Monterey.
