Why don't dragons exist and please give good reasons why?
I think that the only "proof" that we have that they don't exist is that we don't have any evidence of them... no fossils, no living examples. That's the best reason that I can give.
Other things seem implausible. Some dragons are said to breathe fire. If that were literally true, wouldn't they burn themselves, especially the inside of their mouths? But I have read interesting Science Fiction explanations of how a creature like that could exist, so... who knows.
I have also met people who believe that they do exist, and I'm sure that there are other people out there. I don't believe that they exist, at least the way they are portrayed in many stories... gigantic, intelligent beasts who breathe fire, or other things like ice, acid, etc., who terrorize the countryside, but who are also literate and wise. I'm also not sure where so much literature came from... is it all based on some original fabrication that caught the imagination of multitudes of people from many different countries, or was there something that actually existed that people base the dragon myth on? Are there giant sea serpents? We have no evidence, but is lack of evidence always proof that something does not exist?
On the other hand, the Komodo dragon exists as an actual creature... so what is your definition of dragon? If it is just big lizard, they do exist.

What biome do komodo dragons live in?

i have a simple theory that's easy to grasp, start on a rampage around the world and explode stuff, eventually you would find at least one, though you'd probably be dead.

Do not feed your dragons iceberg lettuce, celery or cucumber as they contain no nutritional value and they can get addicted to iceberg. the best thing to feed them veg wise is kale, mustard greens, green beans, sweet potato, yellow squash and occasionally carrot. you could also try them on strawberries and blueberries but not many Chinese water dragons eat fruit unless you gut feed there insects with it. hope this helps

Why did the myth of dragons originate?
Dragons symbolize many things to different cultures - like peace, war, harmony, ect.
Dragons also seem to be symbolic of the combination of several elements (air, water, earth, fire, etc.), and seem to be the apparent guardians of nature. In western culture they were subdued (slain), and in eastern cultures they were respected and known for their acts of kindness.

Knowledge of mythical creatures was pasted down through stories as people couldn't write so stories would change and become more far fetched as time went on, but the dragon is very similar in china and europe which is interesting. My opinion is that people could have found dinosaur fossils and imagined that they were dragons. Think of what a dragon is, a big monster, big teeth, claws etc. that's a dinosaur. There is a theory that the cyclops myth came from when prehistoric elephant skulls were found in southern Europe and people made up a creature that it could have belonged to so the same could apply to dinosaurs and dragons.

Did someone ever catch a dragon?
I saw a dragon on the Autumn Equinox while at the beach. It started out as two red dots far off in the distance, I closed and opened my eyes several times and still I could see the dots, both with eyes closed and eyes open. After several minutes the two red dots became three red dots, two above the third. again I opened and closed my eyes several times and again I could see the dots whether my eyes were open or closed.
Slowly, the shape of a serpent became discernible and it was coming closer all the time...again I opened and shut my eyes several times and I was able to see it regardless of my eyes being open or shut. I laid there wondering what I was going to have to do with this celestial/spiritual entity, as I don't like snakes very much...
it kept getting closer and closer and suddenly, it's appearance was that of a translucent dragon, all shimmering on it's outer edges. The red dots were the eyes and nose that I'd been observing for over eight minutes. It had a coil in it's mid section, behind the front legs and it's tail went on for quite a space. I couldn't believe what I was seeing manifest.
I watched it fly/float around the beach for about two minutes. I could see every detail of it's being, though it was translucent. I could see the dunes, beach grass, sand and sea through it's form. It looked like a Chinese dragon, not the European variety with wings. Then I lost sight of it. I didn't have fear, just awe and wondered why it had shown itself to me. I consider myself fortunate that I was able to see it. I go to that beach often and I always acknowledge it's coexistence with us in this sacred time.
