No one really knows at this particular moment what religion beleives in. As an Ed Sheeran fan, I have looked around for an answer. There is no written evidence that he beleives in any God/Goddess or if he's Agnostic or Athiest.

A quote from one of his songs is "I know God made another one of me" which could either mean that he beleives in the creation story, etc. or that it's just another lyric in his song because it fits well. He also has a hymm-like song on his song 'Give me Love' on his deluxe album (2011) but I'm not guarenteeing it has anything to do with church and hymms and gospell, etc.

Does it really matter anyway what religion he is? He's a VERY talented individual and people should not have a problem with whatever he beleives/doesn't beleive in.
