When did Elvis release his first single?
ELV1S 30 #1 HITS is at #36 in Billboard's year-end roundup of the top albums of the year 2002. Quite an achievement, especially considering the fact that E1 did not come out until September of this year and has not yet finished its time on the weekly Top 200 Albums chart. This is his first appearance in the year-end roundup since 1973, when his #1 hit album Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii, via Satellite came in at #28 for the year. ELV1S 30 #1 HITS debuted on Billboard's weekly Top 200 Albums chart this fall with a 3-week run at #1. Recently, it was at #26 on the weekly chart when, primarily as a result of the airing of the Elvis Livesspecial on NBC on Thanksgiving night, it leaped back up to #11, where it now sits for the second week. Thus, Billboard gives it the "pacesetter" designation for being the album currently with the biggest percentage growth in sales. The album also hit #1 on Billboard's country chart, where it now sits at #4, also with the "pacesetter" designation. On the Billboard Music Awards televised on Fox earlier this week, it was acknowledged that Elvis has the record for the longest span of time between an artist's first #1 album and latest #1 album. His first album, Elvis Presley, hit #1 in 1956 and his tenth and latest #1 album, ELV1S 30 #1 HITS, came 46 years later (and 25 years after his death). Elvis, man, rock on witcho bad self.
How much is the Elvis blue Hawaii album worth?
If you have the version that has "Sneak Preview-Chicken of the Sea" on the cover then it is worth about 3,000-4,000 dollars. (I know it sounds wierd but it was a special release by them because they were a sponsor). If you have the version that has the blue label on the record then it is worth about 5,000 dollars. I have one of the original LPs but without either of these 2 characteristics and I am still trying to find out what it is worth...I see one going for about 100 dollars on ebay right now.

There is a rumor that Elvis had a relationship with Nick Adams, but there is no proof that the two had a sexual relationship. Nick Adam was an openly gay actor, and he did become friends with Elvis during the 1950's, but there has never been any proof to support that the two had a sexual relationship.
It was also rumored that Elvis had an affair with his hair dresser, and close friend Larry Gellar, but the claim has never been supported outside of the tabloids.

Why was Elvis Presley nicknamed Elvis the Pelvis?
In numerous music videos and performances - most famously his performance of 'Hound Dog' on the Milton Berle show - Elvis would use dance moves in which he vigorously moved his legs and his knees. This of course cause movement of his pelvis and hips. This was sometimes considered offensive and said famous 'Hound Dog' performance on Milton Berle was the landmark of 'Elvis the Pelvis'. Many viewers found it offensive and when he appeared on the Steve Allen show later on that year, Allen made him perform a much more 'appropriate' song (I want you, I need you, I love you) in a tux, without any hip movement. Allen wanted to present Elvis on his show as "The new-improved Elvis Presley" Elvis swallowed his pride, did the bit and left. That's where 'Elvis the Pelvis' came from.

Because he was born and raised in a poor family. In his teens he was a truck driver. From truck driver to super-star, with nary a music lesson, he hit the top. (I'm not prejudiced, it's the truth.)
GREAT QUESTION by the way.
Due to the fact that Colonel Parker had previously sold Elvis entire back catalog of music to RCA a few years prior, and Colonel Parker was taking 9 dollars to every 1 he gave Elvis on the marketing pictures/souvenirs/etc., and the outstanding loans on Graceland Elvis Estate was worth (on August 16, 1977) approximately $100,000.00 (one hundred thousand dollars).
Elvis had insomnia, sleep apnea, and was prone to sleep walking throughout his entire life. On August 16, 1977 Elvis could not sleep and went into his bathroom to read as to not disturb his girlfriend (i.e. Ginger Alden). Elvis suffered a massive heart attack and died at the age of 42.
