If you have the version that has "Sneak Preview-Chicken of the Sea" on the cover then it is worth about 3,000-4,000 dollars. (I know it sounds wierd but it was a special release by them because they were a sponsor). If you have the version that has the blue label on the record then it is worth about 5,000 dollars. I have one of the original LPs but without either of these 2 characteristics and I am still trying to find out what it is worth...I see one going for about 100 dollars on ebay right now.

In numerous music videos and performances - most famously his performance of 'Hound Dog' on the Milton Berle show - Elvis would use dance moves in which he vigorously moved his legs and his knees. This of course cause movement of his pelvis and hips. This was sometimes considered offensive and said famous 'Hound Dog' performance on Milton Berle was the landmark of 'Elvis the Pelvis'. Many viewers found it offensive and when he appeared on the Steve Allen show later on that year, Allen made him perform a much more 'appropriate' song (I want you, I need you, I love you) in a tux, without any hip movement. Allen wanted to present Elvis on his show as "The new-improved Elvis Presley" Elvis swallowed his pride, did the bit and left. That's where 'Elvis the Pelvis' came from.

Because he was born and raised in a poor family. In his teens he was a truck driver. From truck driver to super-star, with nary a music lesson, he hit the top. He's an inspiration because he went from the bottom to the top, not because of any special help he got, just because he was the greatest entertainer of the past century.

Due to the fact that Colonel Parker had previously sold Elvis entire back catalog of music to RCA a few years prior, and Colonel Parker was taking 9 dollars to every 1 he gave Elvis on the marketing pictures/souvenirs/etc., and the outstanding loans on Graceland Elvis Estate was worth (on August 16, 1977) approximately $100,000.00 (one hundred thousand dollars).

Elvis had insomnia, sleep apnea, and was prone to sleep walking throughout his entire life. On August 16, 1977 Elvis could not sleep and went into his bathroom to read as to not disturb his girlfriend (i.e. Ginger Alden). Elvis suffered a massive heart attack and died at the age of 42.
