There are many "reproductions" out there of Elvis "jackets" dating back to the 1950's through the 1970's. These include "official merchandise authorized by Elvis Presley Enterprises" as well as the Jackets worn by Elvis' crew which included the Memphis Mafia (as Elvis had the jackets changed as he toured the United States in 1969 - 1977).

If it is an ORIGINAL Jacket (as an example) of Elvis' last tour (in 1977) and it is in excellent condition the value is in the tens of thousands.

To set the record strait, Elvis Presley did write 2 songs he recorded. You'll be gone-1961 That's someone you'll never forget -1962.

The man who wrote most of Elvis Presley's songs was a black man named Otis Blackwell, who died penniless.

Edit- Elvis only recorded 10 Otis Blackwell songs from 1956-1962. Blackwell was a successful producer as well as a writer, he did NOT die penniless

Yes, Elvis was born on January 8, 1935 to Gladys Love (Smith) Presley and Vernon Elvis Presley. Elvis had many cousins who he grew up - employed later in his life - and were among his most trusted/loved relationships.

On May 1, 1967 Elvis married Priscilla and nine months later Lisa Marie Presley was born. Elvis and Priscilla's marriage, sadly, ended on October 9, 1973 but they agreed - and adhered to - being the best parents they could under the circumstances.
