Why do camels have little hair on their body?

"hair becasue they are mammals"

This is actually a horrible explanation. Humans are mammals because we have hair. Dogs are mammals because they have fur.

Camels are mammals, and the numerous sources I've viewed indicate that camels have hair, rather than fur.

Again, to say, "hair [because] they are mammals," is rather ignorant to the definition of "mammal." All mammals have hair or fur.

What animal is a camels friend?

I wouldn't necessarily say that a camel has a friend, but an animal they do get along with would probably be a bird or a marsupial. I don't think they wold get along with a dingo or coyote, or a CAMEL SPIDER!

Does a fox bite?

Yes foxes will bite but only if scared or being tormented.

"Occasionally the press reports attacks on children that are said to be by foxes, but very often the bite wounds do not appear to be typical fox bites. It is not impossible that a child could be bitten by a fox but, if it occurs, it is extremely rare. In comparison, the risk of injury from domestic dogs and cats is very much higher. For example, in the USA about 5 million people are bitten by dogs each year and 15 to 20 people die from dog bites yearly. Most of the victims are children. Similarly, there are more than 400,000 cat bites each year in the USA. There are no good statistics from Britain, but it is likely that the number of dog and cat bites is around a fifth of those recorded in the USA. Even in countries where rabies is present, humans are much more likely to be bitten by a rabid domestic dog than by a fox.

The risks of people being attacked by a fox are negligible compared to the risks of being attacked by a domestic dog or cat."

Can foxes purr?

Foxes purr. they also bark (high pitch). I had a couple to rehab, then return to wild. They came from a vixen that was killed. When they were happy, or more accurately content (favorite food, relaxing on a full belly) they purred... rather loudly in fact. They were never really "tame", but they relied on me for food for a while. Favorite food, hate to admit it, but they actually do go nuts for chicken. I only have experience with Grey Foxes, don't know about reds.

Are ostrich feathers bad luck?

For a bad luck item, they have considerable sales potential and souvenir value= there is a store in New York that sells them and also all manner of stuffed birds- in connection with a floristry business. Peacock feathers were placed inside the casket of Sarah Bernhardt- this shows in the photos of her actual (not dry run) Wake or visitaiton, the dry runs do not have flowers- and/or Peacock Feathers, the real ones do. As Peacocks are not native to France, and NBC was unknown at the time- except as a Radio Station.-this cannot be a standard ( French Mortuary custom). I am puzzled by it. connection with coffin, as with flowers to some people, could have morbid or bad-luck aspects... but... The Night has a thousand eyes- the peacock cannot see through his tail feathers, sadly!
