You walk up to the chicken and when it's highlighted with the purple "aura" or outline, press A. It should allow you to give that chicken a good kick. Whichever way you're facing is the direction the chicken will go.

I can't list all of the steps that you'll need to do but if you go to www.support.xbox.com you'll be able to solve your problem. If other games work on your xbox fine, then it must be the game, new or not, something could have happened like burn marks. Burn marks happen when your xbox is standing straight up, the disk will move around on the inside and the lasers reading it will dig into the disk causing burn marks and will cause your game to stop working almost instantly. You could easily solve this problem by laying your xbox sideways off of carpet.

I used to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and so did my brother, so every time I played, after I finish playing I navigate over to the main game directory and look for subfolder called players which contains the game's saves and config files for the current profile. So then i copy all of its content and save them on some new folder on my desktop. And when my brother's turn comes he can delete the content of that "players" subfolder and paste his profile's backup to that folder, and so on...
