In New jersey, Our most caught saltwater species are fluke, stripers (striped Bass), bluefish. Others are blackfish (tautog), weakfish,Flounder, sharks (mako, thresher, blue, great white, bull, sand), Maui Maui (Dolphin fish), white marlin, cod, whiting, porgies.

Normal oil will not do anything, it will mess it up mostly. what i use is Abu Garcia reel oil for anything it is best to use 1 drop every 2 weeks. You can by them in stores for $2.99 for 1 ounce. if not i would use eagle claw reel lube or reel oil.

I don't know; I have never eaten one. Seriously, it depends on the type of fish you are after and the water conditions, but generally the Shad Rap line of Rapala lures have been quite successful. I use them primarily for bass and walleye. Also recommended for northern pike or muskie. Sometimes an overly aggressive crappie will take one as well.

There is a groove on one end of the bale (sp?), the wire-guard looking thing that flips up. That's where the line will naturally find itself. That keeps the line from freely coming off.

Thread the new line through the eyes, open the bale, tie the new line on to the spool. When you start to reel in the new line, the bale will close and begin winding the spool with line.

With your index finger, grab the line and hold it next to the pole. Open the bale and cast, letting go of the line. Then simply start reeling in. The bale automatically closes and begins pulling the line back in.

When your'e fishing in clear water what you need to do is find a shallow flat that declines into deeper water and cast into the deep with a shad. And as a little extra add some nail polish so it makes it looks like it's bleeding. well i live in big bear and go fishing in silverwood lake if you dont live around here you wont know were this is but i use a diver either rainbow colored or red with black stripes, spinners,topwaters and plastic worms purple or green with rainbow sparkles these will give you a good chance at catching a big one. good luck :)

In clear water, baits that are more natural in color work better than colorful ones. Plastic worms or crayfish imitators in colors like pumpkin, green pumpkin, moccasin, black, or watermelon work best.
