Laminate flooring stands up pretty well in a bathroom. It is a much better choice than true hardwood floors because it will not absorb as much moisture. However, the resin that is on top of the laminate flooring often times wears off and may not last as long as other choices such as stone, vinyl tile, or ceramic tile.

Soap- or oil-based products will eventually leave a residue on laminate flooring that makes the floors look dull and dirty. You want to use a product that dries quickly and leaves no buildup behind. Many floor manufacturers recommend window cleaning products like Windex. For a homemade cleaning product, a simple solution of warm water and vinegar – 1 cup vinegar to a gallon of water – will also work well.
