Not really. Lumberjacks just cut down trees. They don't really make management decisions. They just do what they are told. Someone else makes management decisions that determine the fate of the forest.

I have this exact question in my biology hmework, hm so far all Ive been able to find in anser to this is the following:

"In a natural setting, it usually does not make an environment more favourable for maple trees. This is from my experience in eastern Canada.

The only exception that comes to mind is when pine forests are planted where desertification has occurred. Desertification is a result of land-clearing (usually for agriculture), which removes almost everything living from a piece of land. This land then suffers from the rapid decline in biodiversity, from a harsher micro-climate, increased soil nutrient leaching, etc. However, the land can be partially restored to its previous state (which was often a tolerant hardwood forest) by planting pine trees.

Most if not all pine trees in eastern Canada grow well (or, better than other species) on sandy, acidic, dry, poor soils. For this reason, they were planted extensively where old worthless farmland was found. People still plant pine seedlings in old farm fields today, but not as much as in the past (1950s - 1970s) when pine plantations were "in". Planting pine trees "can serve as nurse crops, allowing shade-adapted, late-successional species to develop. They can also protect riparian habitats, restore the ecology of degraded sites, and improve the quality of water, air, and soil." In other words, this pine forests creates a shaded, forested ecosystem in which maples (and other trees like beech and yellow birch) can establish more easily. The type of forest that was there in the precolonial era will most likely re-establish with time, although this may take centuries or even millennia."

Trees grow much more slowly and sparsely in the taiga that they do in more favourable climates. Removing one tree on the taiga may have the same effect as removing ten trees in a more souther climate.

They are very sophisticated animals, they are fairly smart and can break into peoples houses where they stay warm and find food!

mice live where ever there is food and shelter.

The mice live in the dust were there is no people living there. They do also live near garbage.

They also live in barns and chicken coops, where they sneak out when all the animals are asleep and help themselves to the animal feed. they also live in people's vents and attics.

Forests have a tremendous importance to the humans. They constitute important components of our environment. Forests are important renewable natural resource. Forest ecosystem is dominated by trees, the species varying in different parts of the world. Forests are intimately linked with our culture and civilization. They contribute significantly to the economic development of our country.Forest resources play an important role in the development of regions, states and nations. These resources are subject to changes because of variations in their growth, harvest and land use conversions.

The major issues of global warming, acid rains and other forms of atmospheric pollution have become the target problems of the global level for it mere survival of the living beings.Every indvidual should think about it before removing forest for any reason such wood,land etc.

Yes of course they do. Tree branches are like the arms of the tree. As a person's body grows, their arms grow, and rise, with growth and rise of the torso < torso's in the stomach love, pffft people these days.

The only leaves which do not stay green are generally the deciduous ones. They shed their leaves during the autumn to prepare themselves from the cold and harsh winter. A cactus has a green fleshy stem which actually contains chlorophyll. The leaves are actually the thorns!! There is no reason for a cactus to change color. It cannot store much also due to its small size. Hence it must continuously photosynthesize to produce food.
