OK, if its a nautical star I have heard tell it means anti-racism and the love of man as a brotherhood. But I cant say that for a fact.
If it a solid blue star it could mean the love and care for a family member in the services. A blue star in a window signified a son over seas in a war zone.
Hope I helped....TatuBaron
In the nautical world, a red star symbolizes a passage around the Cape of Good Hope on a sailing ship, and a blue star signifies passage of Cape Horn, which was much more difficult.... Seadog
There are many ways through which you can tell the difference between real and fake pearls. One of them is by rubbing them against your teeth; if the pearl feels smooth then it is most likely fake. Another way is to rub two pearls against each other, if they glide easily then they are fake, real pearls are not very smooth. One more method is to see if a pearl is perfect round shape it is fake, however, please note that some real pearls are perfectly round but are very rare.
The name "Coober Pedy" is derived from the aboriginal words Kupa pita or Kupa piti meaning White man in a hole or burrow. Coober Pedy is characterised by its homes dug into the ground to insulate people from the extreme heat of the area.
Three different types of Opal are found in Australia:
Fire Opals are mined in South Australia near Coober Pedy.
Black Opals are mined in New South Wales near Lightning Ridge.
Boulder Opals are mined in the western Queensland.
Gemstone is a mineral or organic material that has been selected for its beauty, durability, and rarity and then used to make jewelry or other human adornments.
Alexandrite, though this also comes in a variety of colours other than red.
The opal is considered a water stone. Its main symbolic meaning is inspiration, especially inspiration as it applies to being creative. It is also said that the opal can reduce confusion and improve your memory.

I know for a fact that it came from many different places from all different time lines.
I know one of the origins and this is how it goes.
Back in medieval times or something like that if the french captured a British archer they would cut off his middle finger so he couldn't fire his arrows. When the french attacked. The British archers stuck up there middle finger showing they still had it and would shoot them in there bloody head. XD
that's what i have to say hope i helped.
14 kt GE , means it has a very thin layer of 14kt gold over it (gold eletroplated)
ESPO was an Us brand , famous in the 60's and 70's , so it menas the ring has got quite a value as a vintage
The 'ESPO' is short for Esposito, he's still designing jewelry (has a range on QVC) so the ring isn't necessarily worth any more as a vintage.
Topaz forms in pegmatites and high temperature quartz veins. It is deposited by fluorine-rich vapors in rocks of rhyolite composition and forms in cavities in granites and rhyolites. Brazil is the largest supplier of topaz.
a carat (abbreviated "ct.") and spelled with a "c" is a measure of weight used for gemstones. One carat is equal to 1/5 of a gram (200 milligrams). Stones are measured to the nearest hundredth of a carat. A hundredth of a carat is also called a point. Thus a 0.10 carat stone can be called either 10 points, or 1/10 of a carat. Small stones like 0.05, and 0.10 ct are most often referred to by point designations.
A one carat round diamond of average proportions is approximately 6.5mm in diameter. Note that this relationship of weight and size is different for each family of stones. For example ruby and sapphire are both heavier than diamond (technically, they have a higher specific gravity, so a 1 carat ruby or sapphire is smaller in size than a on carat diamond.
Note that karat with a "K" is a measure of the purity of a gold alloy.
J14K is a trademark. The "J" is the jeweler and manufacturer: WEISZ FINE JEWELRY CO., INC. JARDINAY COMPANY CORPORATION NEW YORK. (Jardinay was the original company.) Since the company only owned the J14K trademark between April 8, 1982 and April 29, 1983, I assume that jewelry stamped with J14K was probably made during that period of time.
Currently, Jardinay® is listed as an active registered trademark used for Watches and Jewelry and owned by Metal Marketplace International Inc., Weisz Precious Metals, Inc.
The 14K part of J14K stands for 14 karat gold, a fine jewelry grade of gold. Gold's purity is measured in karats. Pure gold is 24K. Jewelry gold is combined with other alloys (metals) for hardness and desired color. 18K and 22K gold is also used in fine and high end jewelry, but is softer and scuffs and dents more easily than 14K gold. For both cost and durability considerations, 14K is very commonly used in popularly priced fine jewelry.
J14K gold is solid 14K gold, not plated, rolled or filled. It is considered to be fine jewelry, now collectible.
There was another NY jeweler, J. F. JEWELERS, who later owned the J14K trademark, but was a retailer, not a manufacturer. I found no evidence that they ever had the J14K trademark stamped on a piece of jewelry. J.F. Jeweler's trademark was canceled on December 15, 2001 by court action citing: IC 014. US 028.
The trademark J14K is now listed as "dead" by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The Olympic Australis Opal is believed to be the largest gem opal ever found. Found in 1956 at the "Eight Mile" opal field in Coober Pedy, South Australia, it was found at a depth of 30 feet and so named because the Olympic Games were being held in Melbourne at the time. The Olympic Australis consists of 99% gem opal, with the remainder of 1% being the soil still attached to the stone. It weighs 17,000 carats (3450 grams) and is 280 mm long (11 inches) by 120 mm, by 115 mm. It was valued at AUD$2,500,000 in 2005.
you can remove the tag yourself at home without having to go back to the shop. my girlfriend has bought me a very nice ben sherman jacket for Christmas and has just realsied that the sales assistant has left the security tag on it. with no time to go back to the shop she has asked me to remove it. all you need is two items, an old towel or sheet, a small hack saw. take the towel and cover the garment and just leave the tag showing. this will help protect it from damage from the saw. now take the saw and just start removing as much of the plastic case as possible. see if you can saw down where the case is sealed as this will make life a lot easyer. as you remove the casing of the tag you will see a plastic center colom. this houses the pin and spring mechanism. the is also a separate piece inside the tag that contains an electro magnet. your aim as your sawing is to separate these two componets. this will deactivate the pin an it should all come free. worst case senario you will have to saw through the plastic colom and pin. be careful not to damage your garment while sawing. use small fast movements as the plastic will cut easy. good luck.

Alexandrite is a gemstone as well as a birthstone. Alexandrite is VERY expensive, gem/birthstone. Alexandrite is the birthstone of June the Gemini. Gemini is like what animal you are in the Chinese calendar. The Gemini is twins. You can tell your horroscope, birthstone, and what kind of person you are. I hope this helped a little.
