Why is the giraffe longer inside mother's womb?

if by longer you mean "taller" in the womb before its born its would be because its spine has not felt the full effects of gravity. The baby giraffe will be taller /longer before its born and trys to stand for that same reason. Once it has been born it will stand and its own weight will compress it as it does any living creature. Thus shorten it.

How does giraffe have a long neck?

Through evolution. The whole theory of evolution was first based on the giraffe's neck. Darwin say the giraffe, and asked himself the same you just asked me. He realized that all of the food that the giraffe ate came from high up in the trees. So from that observation, he inferred that the giraffes needed long necks to survive. I repeat: They NEED long necks to survive. That is the whole theory of evolution. Let us pretend it is a long time ago, and at this time giraffes have short necks. This is a problem, as the food on the ground is running out and they need a way to reach the food in the trees to survive. Out of the whole herd of giraffe, though, two of them (lets call them Gina and Patrick) were somehow born with slightly longer necks. As Gina and Patrick were the only ones in the herd who could reach the food, the rest of the giraffes died and they survived. They mated, and Gina gave birth to Donna, Hugh, and Theodore. Once Donna, Hugh, and Theodore grow up, their parents died. Hugh and Patrick and Donna all have inherited their parents genes for long necks, so they are as tall as them--except Hugh, because he is taller. Donna and Theodore can reach their food, but as the best and ripest food is at the very top of the tree, only Hugh can reach that. So Hugh grows big and strong, AND he has an EXTRA tall neck, so the females are attracted to him. So HE is the one who gets a mate, and passes on his tall-neck genes onto his children.

What is giraffes enemies?

Lions, leopards, and hyenas are the main enemy of the giraffe, although they usually attack the baby giraffes and not the full grown giraffe. But occasionally they attempt to kill an adult giraffe. A giraffe defends their baby by using their powerful legs front and back. A kick from a giraffe can kill a lion or human. Sometimes the male giraffes use their heads as weapons. Their heads can break bones and catapult the unlucky predator through the air. But giraffes are more of an animal that would rather run than fight. Since they are very fast runners they have that option.

Why do giraffes blink?

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "kiss." I haven't been able to find any evidence that they actually do kiss, as opposed to the general sort of nuzzling that's pretty common behavior in mammals.

They do have some interesting behaviors, though.

Giraffes do something called "necking." This is not necessarily the "inspiration point" kind of necking, though... they actually swing their necks and heads to strike each other, in some cases even knocking the other down. This appears to be a kind of dominance behavior, similar to rams butting each other.

Sometimes, though, they do rub their necks against each other as a sort of prelude to sexual activity.

Did Lamarck believes that giraffes came to have long necks through stretching their necks?

Lamarck believed that acquired traits could be inheritable. So as each generation voluntarily extended their necks, their genetics changed, allowing them to have offspring with their necks already that length.

On the other hand, Darwin would have said that the genes mutated on their own and that shorter giraffes would be unable to reach enough food and die. The rest would in turn live to pass on their beneficial genes for longer necks.

Where does the giraffes life?

Can you ride a giraffe in the us?

you really canoot ride a girrafe because , you really canoot reach its back . you need to have a ladder.
well i guess you can but it would just be wierd going around riding a super tall giraffe! you dont see many people doing that
No, we can't ride giraffes. First of all, because the neck would be too long and high to fit a bridle over it's head. Second, if no bridle, how will you control it? Third, what would we ride with? A horse's saddle would be too big to fit around a giraffe's much more thinner back. Fourth, I wouldn't want to be there when you're trying to tame one because their hooves are huge and those hits can kill you. Some animals are not tameable and the giraffe is one of those animals.

What does it mean when you dream about a giraffe?

Because dreams communicate through symbols, the giraffe in this dream represents something that has qualities like a giraffe: tall, high reach, perhaps unusual and a bit odd? The dream could reflect the dreamer's desire to "reach high," that is, to excel in an area that will require a lot of effort. Perhaps the dreamer needs to try harder to achieve a goal that seems to be "out of reach."

Why do giraffes have tough tongues?

of the giraffe is their ability to eat leaves from some very thorny trees! Just how do they do it? Giraffes produce a very thick saliva, or spit, which protects the mouth from their thorny diet.
