With respect to the person asking this question and all those that will view it, I honestly do not think it came from Samoa. In essence, I think "Samoan girl scout cookies" was considered because there is coconut in it being sold by little girls. The Girl Scout is now popular and adding a little bit of culture in there would help in spreading the word out about girl scout and not only that the cookies.
