I dont know if its the same with dogs but my cats wiskers got cut off. It didnt seem to hurt him and they grew back in about a week.

this depends on how tall his parents were. there are short legged and long legged goldens. if your dogs rents were one of each, then he will most likely be long legged, as this is dominent in them.

I found that I had to teach my Chihuahua on Nintendogs Chihuahua and friends... Well I had to say it like 12 times to get it to go through. I hate voice commands, actually I've played so many times that after I teach the dog all their tricks they need at the beginning, which is just Sit Down, I stop using Voice command. i can't imagine anyone, anywhere hating a goldy, they are sweet by nature, i am sure there are cases of abused goldens being nasty, and some people just don't like dogs,

Don't consider it, Petsmart has outrageous prices on cats/dogs although they are supposed to have papers, for a family pet it doesn't matter, Look up your local shelter's online website or go in person. You can save one's life and get one for less than 25.00 most likely.

Both genders are really awesome! Ive had golden retrievers all my life and i would have to say that both genders are great but they are very different. females tend to be smaller, calmer and smarter than males but males tend to be more personal and loving (that's not to say that females arnt loving as well). If i had to choose one it would probably be female but that's just me. Both are great as long as you spay or your dogs, if not your male will only think about mating and your female will go into heat all the time making her not as friendly (she probably wont want anything to do with you in fact). just fingd a puppy that goes well with your family and if you give your dog love nomatter what the gender, they will always be your best friend!

It sounds like he has skin allergies. Take him to a vet to be certain.

Your dog may have Hot spots which is a bacterial infection of the skin. The spots are moist and weepy. These are very common in Goldens. The spots get bigger and bigger as the dog scratches and bites/licks them. They start out as small round spots and grow quite fast. They can be treated at home but can be very frustrating. I would take your dog to the vet for examination. He may have some other skin disease such as mange mites or skin allergies.

Sounds like your golden retriever has allergies. I find it a good and fast rule never to self medicate my animals and I take my dog or cat to the vets. If the vets wants to give your dog an antihistimine then opt out getting it at the vets and go to your local pharmacy (cheaper.) Go by weight (I've even asked my own pharmacist this.)

It's a show of power and domination. Some women like to feel superior to their partner, and will participate is activities which will show this.

One view: First of all you need to keep him safe from predators until he's big enough to fend for himself. Give him some scratch feed, and even some laying hen feed, veggies, table scraps whatever you find that he will eat. Give him plenty of attention or he might get aggresive towords you. I let mine freerange and really don't feed them anything more than some scratch and fresh water every day. They seem to be quite happy and wiegh about 15 pounds apiece.
