What is the history of dunlop max power golf clubs?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

They were developed in the 1960's in the Slazenger factory at Horbury Junction nr. Wakefield. The Manager was called John Reid although the clubs were the idea of one of the employees, a single figure handicapper.

The set of irons had individual steel shafts which had a different kick point depending on the iron number. The lower the number, the higher up the shaft was the kick point (created by the stepped shaft diameter reductions). The principle, of ensuring that all the clubs swung with the same characteristics and feel, was brilliantly successful but expensive to manufacture.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

When you are picking up the game you should try hitting left and right handed shots and see which you are most comfortable with. Just because you write right handed, doesn't mean you will play left handed. Phil Mickelson actually writes right handed. The vast majority of golfers are right handed, very few play left handed.

For a round of golf, the net score for a player is their gross score minus their handicap. The net score for one hole is the gross for the hole, minus the strokes allowed for the hole. How do you get a shaft out of a golf club?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You will need to get a shaft puller, a propane blowtorch and a butane blowtorch as well as a Stanley knife. Soften the ferrule with the propane torch and scrape it off with the knife. You then crank it into the shaft puller and melt the old epoxy with the propane torch(steel shafts) and butane torch(graphite shafts). You will see the club head moving, and then you simply pull the club head off.

User Avatar

Your opponent should offer to mark if her stance or line of putt interferes with your line of putt . One should not have to ask, the opponent should be courteous and mark her ball. If however, her ball does not interfere with your line in any way, your opponent has the right to finish the hole if she wishes. Is this correct?
