No. Mike Weir uses S300 in his 3,4,5 irons and X-100 in his 6-PW. This gives him less flex/distance but more accuracy in his shorter irons. Having different flex shafts in your bag is common. The most popular deviation is to go one grade stiffer with your driver. After all, most golfers swing harder/faster with their driver because they are hitting a ball that is teed up and not lying on the grass. Some golfers play more flexible shafts in their long irons as well. It helps them get the ball up in the air. One note, if you are having problems getting your long irons airborn, then you may want to go down in flex on your irons in general. It is easier to adapt to more flexible shafts by controlling your swing speed than to adapt to stiffer shafts by trying to increase your swing speed. I'm not sure I understand your question, but here goes. In the 1890's, the guys at St. Andrews came up with a way to determine how many holes there would be on a golf course. The way they did it was this. A bottle of Scotch, drank one shot per hole would last 18 holes. Hence the 19th hole (as the club house bar is referred to) was the "hole" to get a refill. Therefore, it was determined that golf courses be 18 holes.

First off, make sure you're looking at it the right way.

The bottom of the bag is the part that faces the ground when you carry it. The top is where the handle is, or where the straps originate.

Place the bag vertical, if you have one with stands, let it rest on it's stands. Look at the bag from the position where you would be when you are going to remove a club for a shot.

Most bags have sections, so from top to bottom, left to right, place your clubs in this order: Driver, woods, long irons, short irons, wedges, putter. If your bag is like mine, and has four sections, one on the top, two in the middle side by side, and one on the bottom, place your clubs in groups (i.e. Woods in the top section, and a 3 iron if you play with one; 4,5,6 iron in the left middle section; 7,8,9 in the right middle section; PW, SW, GW in the bottom section; and put your putter in either the bottom section, or top, according to preference -- its easier for me to grab the putter when its in the top, plus it gets less banged up)

There's not enough information given hereto know. Golf clubs should be fit to the height of your hand not your head. There are a few theories that go around, but all are based on measuring something about your hand. Most go by the height that the tip of your middle finger is above the ground, but some say the seam between your wrist and hand. Measure that and find out where it fits on a chart of club lengths. Probably you would be best fit with something a bit shorter than the standard 43" driver, but it's hard to say. Dave Tutelman's design notes are an excellent resource for figuring out such things.

Ben Hogan made gap wedges, log wedges and sand wedges. A pitching wedge is also available from Ben Hogan but these are usually included in the irons.

That depends on the player. Players with slower swing speeds are better off using a driver with more loft. the extra loft makes the ball easier to control and will help the player hit the ball farther because the extra loft helps keep the ball in the air longer.

I assume you are talking about Project X golf shafts. A Project X shaft with a 6.5 flex is the equivilent of a stiff shaft.

"Cadet" is not a reference to which hand, but the shape itself. Cadets gloves are for people with shorter fingers

I have drivers with both shafts. I like the Graffaloy Prolite(3.5)shaft because my swing speed has slowed, at 52yrs old, and it is the most responsive shaft I have ever had. More swing speed helps you get the ball up higher and the Adila NV 65 has a high kick point which keeps the ball lower. If you swing at 95 mph or more I think you would really love the NV. I will say I can hit my Adila shaft low and straight. If you swing below 95 you might look at the new NVS. JB Interesting question as I'm undergoing the same experimentation. I've been hitting a Ping Driver (TSI) for several years with the Graffalloy Pro Lite Stiff shaft. Recently a weight inside the clubhead came loose. A Ping G210 degree with the Aldila 65 R-Flex shaft was too good to pass up. On the launch monitor, I found that I actually preferred the stock Ping shaft (1000) in a R -flex. But this club came with the Aldila and with the promise that my seller (local golf retailer) would re-shaft back to the Ping if I didn't like the Aldila. My first two rounds have been inconclusive with the Aldila. I have smoked a number of drives yet have also been inconsistent in my flight pattern. Notoriously straight off the tee, I've faded and hooked the Aldila. This rarely happened with the Graffaloy Pro Lite.I'm 6'2" tall, about to turn 60,in good shape, and a 6 handicap, but the mind games seem to start around this age and one wonders if transitioning from Stiff to Regular is beneficial. My guess is that I will go back to a Stiff shaft for the near if not forseeable future and my shaft will be Graffolloy Pro Lite pulled from my old Ping. Jim Gulley
