Par 38 is the regulation amount of shots for most likely nine holes of golf. It comprises any combination par 3's, 4's and 5's which add up to 38. This could be 3 par 5's, 5 par 4's and a par 3. Or it could be 7 par 4's and 2 par 5's.

The basics are a polo shirt, without heavy branding and a pair of chinos. You can also wear a jumper which is usually lambswool. You may also need a hat to protect you from the sun. When the weather isn't great you would wear a coat that you can still swing in and also a pair of waterproof trousers.

Golf shoes are required on many, if not all courses. But check prior to your visit as some courses don't allow metal spikes.

Golf is played in a golf course. A typical golf course has 18 holes, however, smaller golf courses have 9 holes as well. Championship level golf courses are known to have even 27 or 36 separate holes.

A hockey puck can travel a far as any object if thrown with enough force! It is solid rubber so it can withstand tremendous force.

More pertinent to the game of hockey, the rink is roughly 200 feet long and a reasonably strong player can shoot the puck that distance (and hit the far boards with force). An Eagle in golf is lower than a birdie.

A birdie is 1 stoke below par on the hole and an Eagle is 2 strokes below par

For example,

on a par four, an eagle is two strokes

on a par three, an eagle is not used. it is just referred to as a hole in one!

Karsten Solheim is credited with inventing the putter in 1959. Solheim worked for the Ping golf company and aided in creating new products.

If the tip diameters are the same then yes. You will need to take it to your local golf shop and they can tell you. If so they will be able to put the new head on the existing shaft very easily.

In the early days, it simply said pro v 1 on the side. The next generation said pro v 1 and had an arrow end at each side. The 2005 generation had a long arrow at each end. The 2009 range still had the same arrows but with a dot in the middle of each one.

TaylorMade R7 golf clubs are available online from websites like TaylorMade Golf Preowned, R7 Irons, and eBay. Sporting goods stores may also carry them, though inventories obviously vary by location.

A cheap set are ideal. The best type of irons are oversized ones with big heads so they are easy to hit. Get regular shafts because you will have little control of your swing. For the woods get ones with large heads and lots of loft. Again regular shafts are ideal.

Some beginners may also like hybrid clubs, they are very easy to hit, the replace long irons.

The majority of golf balls are white, but there are some yellow balls which are for evening play and are used by seniors. Paula Creamer sometimes uses a pink ball.

Assuming you're a right-handed player, the ball goes left because either

1. you are pulling it, by coming across the target line from outside to inside with the clubface closed, or

2. you are hooking it, coming across the line from inside to outside with the clubface square or somewhat closed.

Actually, if you are coming from slightly inside and hitting it with a square clubface, that's a draw, and it's usually considered to be a good thing. The motion from right-to-left will be relatively gentle, and if you can learn to control it you can get excellent carry and roll from that shot, as well as being able to bend it around obstacles.
