-How did your SAT scores look? If they werent all too hot, retake them because Uconn seems to place a good amount of emphasis on them.

-Also, what major are you applying for? If you are applying for say, Mechanical Engineering, the BASELINE gpa they require is a 3.4 (It is a very competitive program, trust me I am currently struggling with switching my major to it). I would recommend applying for whatever major you prefer as a primary, then as a secondary (backup) major input CLAS (for sciences and such) or ACES (exploratory; undecided). Both majors are UNDECIDED majors, and it allows you to explore and find your direction easier. Not to mention, they are FAR easier to get into.

-As an extra, do at least one community service project. If your application states that you spent time helping abused animals in a shelter, back it up and base your essay on how much the service touched you, relating to a specific animal, etc. Whoever is considering your application will have a harder time denying an application that moved them to tears :D

It's okay. It's not fantastic, but it's not horrible. It depends on what colleges and programs you are aiming to be accepted into. There are some that will certainly accept someone with that GPA if they have also taken part in other activities and volunteer work. On the other hand, there are some that won't even look at your application.

For institutions that grade on a plus system, it would be a C+. For institutions that grade on a minus system it would be a B-.

If all your grades are weighted the same you add all of your grades together, then divide it by the number of grades you have for example: 97 82 35 67 86 43 (my grades not really) divided by 6 because that is how many grades i have = a 68% 68% is my final grade.

If they have different weights then you need to multiply the grade by the % its worth.

There is no required GPA for admission to the undergraduate program, but like any elite institution of higher education, one should aim for the highest GPA possible if one is looking to get in.

4 isn't enough.... 30 is too low... and it only depends how passionate you are about those EC's not how many you have... people with 2 or 3 usually end of having a higher chance than people with over 7... overall I'd say nope, but I don't know your personality or anything and that's what they look for.

The University of Connecticut (UCONN) requires freshman applicants to have completed at least 15 units in college preparatory work. This work includes four years of English, three years of math, two years of social studies, two years of foreign language, two years of laboratory science, and three years of electives.

3.0 is the standard starting point for a good GPA however it is always best to strive for something better so try to stick with at least a 3.5 if possible.

Many schools will not allow graduation, or will require special help like academic probation, if the GPA goes below a 2.5 or 2.0.

There is no minimum required score as much of the admission decision factors in also the GPA or extra curricular activities. However the average SAT score of students at Ball State is 1400-1710. The range for critical reading is 470-570. The range for math is 470-580. The range for writing is 460-560.

There is no minimum GPA to enter Tufts. However the average GPA of an enetering undergrad student is 3.67.

Typically, it is an A- (or A at some schools).

This would be 80% and would be a B, just below a B+

(Most schools consider 80% to be a B-.)

I'm not 100 percent sure but I don't think u have to there are people in my school who go to tech and they aren't smart at all

Most students that get accepted into NYU have a GPA of at least 3.4. A GPA of 3.6 gives students a higher chance of getting into this university. The average SAT score for these students was about 1700.
