Well it doesn't quite make much sense does it? If you put it together with the rest of the verse it makes a little more sense. When you translate each line I think he's saying. Gloria where are you? = Gloria, Where are you? You found a home in all your scars and ammunition = You found a way to make peace with your past and pain. You made a bed in salad days amongst the ruins = You did something that others found impossible. Ashes to ashes of our youth = Ashes to ashes of our youth (He's just kinda wraping up the verse some people say that to wrap something up...think of it as a different way of saying Amen) Sorry if you don't get it 'cause that's what I think it means and it's the best way I can put it.

My guess to why they are more popular is that earphones are smaller, portable and easy to store. And they're easier to hide when you want to listen to music but aren't permitted (in school, for example)

It was an all day out door concert at doyt perry football stadium. I know Richie Havens was there. There was a thunder storm in the afternoon and they stopped everything. I remember going back after the storm was over and the sun came out, but apparently the groups yet to play had left. I remember bottles being thrown on stage in protest. I can't remember who was to perform yet. It might have been Yes? Edit/Addition from Dirt America: Remember that one fairly well. On the bill was Pure Praire League, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Richie Havens, Styx, Golden Earring, Johnny Winter and perhaps another band or two. Remember when the rain/protest started. We made our way through the crowd and walked right past Johnny Winter who had just arrived. The press box was set on fire in protest and that was the end of rock concerts there.

Billie Joe Armstrong dyed his hair blond because it was very popular at that time to be a guy with blond hair. Lots of girls liked it also. After a wile, luckily, he died it black again.

He has two dogs named Rocky and Cleo. He also has a cat named Cleaveland. In the documentary of the Popdisaster tour with Blink 182, he buys a fish with his son Joey Armstrong and the latter names it Speedy.
