Actually Halaal is not a type of meat but rather it refers to any type of action or object that can be used according to Islamic law. Halaal means lawful or legal. What you might want to look under is Dhabihah.

Hi, I was troubled by the same question for a long time. The only reason this would be haram is because they use L-Carnitine. L-Carnitine can be from 2 sources: Animal (taken from lining of stomach) Or Synthetic (made from a combination of 3 chemicals) After emailing Monster Inc repeatedly, they have finally got back to me. Basically all meat is halal (allowed) for Muslims to eat and what is not allowed (not halal) for Muslims to eat is specifically outlined in Quran and prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) sayings.

"Wild animals" denotes those which prey on others and devour them by tearing them apart, e.g., the lion, leopard, wolf, and the like; birds with talons such as the hawk, eagle, falcon, etc., do the same.

Truthfully, recently I have read an article that says some cheeses might be haram. Some cheese can contain enzymes of pigs. You should call the companies and ask. Just like Kellogg Cereal and rice crispies are made of gelatin that comes from pigs.
