How do you breed and sell hamsters?
Hmmm, you can sell hamster pups but when you breed them it's very tricky and can be hard to master sometimes but sometimes people can abuse breeding hamsters like breeding the mama and the papa hamsters too early or putting the mama and the papa hamster ( if there Syrian hamsters) together at a early age and not separating them, please befor you breed hamsters please read and ask for help befor you breed, and asking here can be asked for help but if you do the breeding wrong then you can hurt the mama and the pups
That really depends on a few things:
- If your hamster isn't always dragging its legs, that means that when it is, it's "scent marking", or in a non-scientific manner, telling you what's his.
- If your hamster is always dragging its back legs, you should probably get a vet to check it out.
This is exactly what happened to my hamster. I took him to the vet and the vet gave him some pain killers and some antibiotics in an injection. The vet will ask you to come back 24 hours later.
In those 24 hours take out all there wheels, tubes and that kinda stuff and make sure you keep them warm and feed them a tiny bit of bread soaked with low fat milk for calcium. Then take them back to the vet the next day.

Try a Syrian hamster. This type of hamster is the biggest and hard to lose. They are very friendly. They also come in different fur patterns.

Hamster breeding takes alot of patience! First of all, you shoul have one male and one female in each cage because the the male won't get confused as to wich he should choose and the females won't fight over it. Often times hamsters will only try to breed in complete silence and complete darkness, and the male is often killed in the breeding. Then the female must carry the babies for 18-21 days, they will then come out usally extremly fragil and hairless until the age 3 weeks old. With any threat to her babies the mother hamster will hide them, and if stressed she will try to eat them, also if the father becomes angry he will kill them so keep the father in a different cage!! Baby hamsters take 10 as much care as a grown hamsters so make sure you read up and do some research before making the decision to breed!

my two sister dwarf hamsters live together. while they do fight at least once a week, they do play with one another. just make sure they are one sex unless you plan on having them reproduce. yes, a brother and sister hamster can have 'normal' babies. my hamsters angel and daisy are from brother and sister parents.

You can but they will run very fast so you have to cup your hands around them but leave a whole for there head. If you cup them with no whole for the head they might bite you

I believe hamsters are not available anywhere in Australia due to what happened when rabbits were introduced here! The powers that be are very nervous about the import of 'exotic' pets incase they escape into the wild, breed and harm our ecosystem. Which is a great shame as hamsters are totally cute & I'd also love to have one.

To be honest if you have had dwarf hamsters before then you shouldn't have too many problems with Russian hamsters. They tend to bite/nip more and are harder to tame. Don't get me wrong they are lovely hamsters but I wouldn't recommend them for children or people who haven't had dwarf hamsters

My hamster did the same. I know why. You need to let her run free for a while. She feels locked in a prison and she wants to run around for a bit. Buy a hamster ball and let her run around in it. This is so much more amusing than the television...
