Ron and the twins come and save him that night, and he stays with the Weasleys the rest of the holidays.

Wen the holidays are over they go to the station, they can come through. And they miss the train, and take the car instead

All is well in the castle as the students leave for their summer vacations.

The problem is solved when Harry and Ron Weasley discover a note on Hermione Granger telling them what lies inside the Chamber and that the Basilisk was travelling around the school using pipes. Harry then figures out where the entrance to the Chamber is and, along with Ron and Gilderoy Lockhart, go down to save her. Harry, using parseltounge, goes on to find Tom, who sets the Basilisk upon him. Fawkes blinds the Basilisk and Harry stabs it with Godric Gryffindor's sword. Harry then uses a Basilisk fang to stab the diary, destroying the Horcurx and saving Ginny.

Ron and Harry found out from Aragog, then Hermione found out at the library at the same time. She wrote on a piece of paper that she basilisk is moving though the pipes and she kept in her hand when she was petrified by the basilisk. Later Harry and Ron found the piece of paper and figured out the "pipes" clue. Then they found out the Chamber of Secrets and the basilisk itself.

Rupert Grint was given a plastic slug and a slime, he had that in his mouth and would then spit it out. Grint has stated that there were several recipes for the slime and that it tasted really nice.

Ron receives a Howler from his mother. A howler is a red envelope that instead of having the receiver read it and be able to throw it away without a second thought, it records the sender's voice and what they want to say to the receiver. It also amplifies the sender's voice by a lot, so that whoever is in the room can hear it, and it can be used almost as a punishment.
