How can you do your hair like Stacy London?
Stacy London has great length to her hair... I would suspect she has extensions that give it that glossy and healthy look. Her look can be replicated if you have long hair easily. I would first get your hair cut with long layering in the back, and layers that go up to about the jawline in the front. Once you have that, all you need is the style. This is easily obtained by putting some frizz serum in your hair after showering and blowing your hair dry straight. In general, the layers should help give you that 'Stacy' look at this point, but if you hair is still not curly enough, you can you some hot velvet rollers (Conair makes a great set for < $20) and stagger them around your head. Leave them in for about 15 minutes and remove them. You should be able to shake your head around and get very nice and soft curls that will likely flow to the bottom of your head as the day wears on.

Normally the brown nits are the dead nits, and the white nits are the alive one. I don't see the brown ones to be dangerous but I would still remove them. I found that vinger helps remove the nits dead or alive.

If for one reason or another you cant get rid of them just shave ofall the hair and wear a beany for a while.
What is the difference between nits and lice?
A common misconception with this is that nits and lice are the same thing. In fact this is not the case, the truth is:
Lice are the tiny grey or brown insects that are found in the hair. The lice are about the size of a small seed (i.e. Sesame seed) and cling to the hair staying close to the scalp which they live off. These lice lay eggs which take from 7 to 10 days to hatch and each new hatchling takes around 10 days to fully grow to an adult.
Nits are the empty shells left after lice have hatched. It looks very much like dandruff but as it clings to the hair it makes it hard to brush out.

Nits are the eggs laid by human head lice Pediculosis capitis. The lice are about a millimeter long (easy to see look in the related link below). I suspect the dots you are finding are the eggs (nits) that are glued to the base of your hair strands. The eggs (nits) are very difficult to remove even after they are dead or have hatched.
You need to kill the lice and the eggs using some proprietary topical treatment.

If you are aware someone has lice and they are around you leave the area until you are aware the lice has been removedamd you should always wash your hair .
