Lice take a Bloody Mary every two hours. According to their size, one meal should be approx. 1 mm3 max.

I have really strong lice and I have tried all of the treatments in the store and none of them worked I even tried Listerine They wont go away What do you suggest?

You have to do an olive oil treatment every other day for 3 weeks. Saturate the person's hair w olive oil, then go through it w the nit comb sold at stores. Put in more olive oil, then put shower cap over whole mess for 6-8hrs. Rinse out the next morning w dish washing liquid.

Also- Use high heat on all blankets/pillows/ect. Or bag them for two weeks. Vacuum everything else.

If you shaved your head bald because you had head lice Are you finally rid of head lice?

Yes, this helps because lice/ nits need a warm, sheltered environment that cannot be sustained without hair. Lice/ nits can only live in oxygen/ carbon dioxide - as the lice breathe an air that is close to your scalp - for 24 hours.

you still should use med. shampoo

Can lice go through sheets?

This question is categorized under head lice. To answer that question, the answer is very likely no. Head lice are about the size of a sesame seed. Most sheets sold today are woven much more tightly than that to allow them to go through sheets.

There is a SMALL chance head lice may transfer from one person to another if sharing a pillow or a fabric that has touched an infested person's head. The probability is minimal, but items such as sheets should be washed and dried at the highest possible temperature.

I am not an expert on body lice or pubic lice, so I can only comment on head lice.

What you have in your hair are called head lice. It is a common problem and is spread easily so as soon as you can, visit your pharmacy and ask for a head lice treatment. You will be given a liquid or cream that you will have to apply to your hair and it will have to be left on a length of time (depending on the cream). Also you should buy a fine tooth comb, which is available from your pharmacy, to comb the lice and their eggs out of your hair.

How do you get rid of a huge case of lice?

I have had lice before and it was not easy getting rid of it. Comb your hair alot with a special comb for getting lice out, you could try sleeping with mayo in your hair with aluminum foil surrounding it. Lice doesn't like greese and it might suffocate them. I tried that when i had lice, afterwards wash your hair with vinegar. And remember using the lice products at the store cant hurt. One more thing to try, is putting lavander in your bath a friend of mine told me all the lice run to the top of your head when you dunk your head in the water. Then have someone pick them out. As far as the nits go (eggs) have someone comb all of them out.

Answer There are plenty of good products available from your local pharmacy. Modern day products are more than effective and are not overly expensive. If your unsure ask your pharmacist who will be more than happy to suggest the appropriate product for your needs.
