Why do you get headaches when you wear sunglasses or safety glasses?
Your eyes are so used to not wearing sunglasses that when you do wear them, your eyes feel weird. They are not used to being shaded, so you may get headaches the first couple of times you wear them. It doesn't mean the sunglasses are bad, although sometimes, knock-off sunglasses will harm your eyes because they are not of good quality.
Because of the shade vs. light, you may not notice that you are squinting your eyes to see through the shade. You are used to seeing all that sunlight and your eyes have adjusted to that. Your pupils have to dilate some to adjust accordingly to the level of the shade. This doesn't seem to make much sense, because the initial thought is that your eyes would be squinting to help protect them from the immense sunlight. While this is true, so is the opposite for those who might have more trouble seeing through "darkness" or shade, in this case. The squinting causes strain and tension which will in turn cause a headache.
Also, the sunglasses may not make the world you see through them as clear (match up with the power of your vision) and thus cause you to squint. You may not notice this squinting either.
Should your headaches continue, try out a variety of sunglasses. If none seem to make it better, consult an eye doctor. They can offer prescription sunglasses. It could be something as simple as the brand of sunglasses (quality) or something more complex like the dilation of your pupils, etc.
Migraines are complicated and finding the definitive cause can be exhausting and sometimes never found. Some people get migraines from: light smoke to little/to much sleep STRESS withdrawl: drugs, alcohol, smoke, chocolate etc weather changes circulation oxygen supply dehydration certain foods pet, food, environmental allergies The list goes on and on Making a journal of when your migraine started what you did, ate etc that day can help pinpoint the cause. But leaves the actual culprit range wide open to many activities persued that day. Good luck

Why do females get headaches when on their period?
At least five million women suffer 'hormone headaches' each month, according to researchers.
They said some get headaches lasting several days and have to plan their diaries around the pain.
Changes in sex hormones are blamed for the migraine-style attacks which some sufferers have endured for many years as part of their menstrual cycle.
Each month, almost half suffer four or more of the headaches which can last for up to a week in the worst cases.
Experts claim too many women 'grin and bear' the pain which may prolong the agony of the under-recognised condition.
Dr Catherine Hood, a GP who specialises in women's health, said an estimated five million women suffered hormonal headaches regularly during the busiest time of their lives when they are juggling family and work.
'Women suffer from headaches more than men, especially during the reproductive years when female hormones are up and down with the menstrual cycle,' she said.
'Hormone headaches are not short-lived if left untreated.
'Some sufferers expect to have a headache at certain times of the month and it dictates how they plan their activities.
'Up to a third of women don't like taking tablets for it but the pain should be nipped in the bud to break the cycle.'
Dr Hood said changing levels of the female hormones oestrogen and progesterone may affect headache-related chemicals in the brain.
Falling oestrogen levels can cause menstrual headache and make women more sensitive to pain, she added.
The latest research involving 50 women aged 18-45 who regularly endured hormonal headaches found they had suffered for 12 years on average.
One woman had lived with regular attacks for 30 years.
In the study commissioned by the makers of 4head, a treatment made from peppermint, more than half said their pain lasted several days, typically two to three.
Some women, however, suffered for up to a week.
The key trigger was the monthly cycle, with more than half getting hormone headaches before their period and a third during.
The vast majority of employed women continued to work despite feeling stressed and irritable.
The research, which was independently verified, also tested 4head Stick, with eight out of ten women saying it was effective.
Three-quarters said relief was immediate or within 15 minutes.

Is a lump in your forehead that may be the cause of your constant dizziness dangerous to remove?
I had one of these when i fell out of my bike and i hit the ground, and i had concussion,so i was suppost to stay in bed the entire week, and the doctor kept comming every day to check me out and try and make me to sleep.Very annoying! If you have bumped your head accidently and that is the cause of the bump and you are dizzy, please see your doctor right away. If you can't get in to see him please go to a clinic or even ER. Sometimes people can get concusion and that's dangerous, but caught quickly you will be fine. If you just have a bump (a growth) no, it won't be dangerous to remove it. Behind the skin of your forehead is bone. Sounds like a small cyst (if you haven't bumped your head badly.) Many people get growths somewhere on their bodies. Remember, there are other reasons you could be dizzy. Getting a virus, getting over a cold, allergies, ear problems or anemia. Get a blood check up from your doctor. Please mention those dizzy spells to your doctor if you haven't already done so.
