If you are asking, "Is the straddle technique the best way to high jump?" the answer is probably "no". (In the straddle technique the jumper kicks his lead leg over the bar and then flattens his front side along the top of the bar as he flips over).
Almost all world class high jumpers use the "Fosbury Flop."
In both techniques the idea is to get the "center of gravity" to go over the bar but as low as possible.
In the flop, by going over the bar on one's back and arching the back so the head, shoulders, upper trunk, and trailing lower legs are actually below the bar it seems to be possible to clear the bar, but have one's center of gravity actually go under the bar.

Bloukrans Bungy a Proud Guinness World Record Holder for the Highest Commercial Bungee Jump in the World at 216m! This is incorrect. The highest legal bridge jump resides in Canon City, Colorado, USA. The Go Fast! event team does a 1000+ft jump there at the Royal Gorge Bridge. A select amount of individuals who get the commercial reservation before the big day during the fall are the lucky few who get to set their own world record.

there is not much equipment required for high jump. All that is needed is one mat, one pole, and two standard. The two standards hold up the pole and the mat sits behind the standards.
When i was younger i was always the tallest in my class. I know how you feel. You feel less confident. I always wanted to look shorter when i was younger but you can't change yourself. And this is really funny most people hate being tall but being tall is WAY better that being short because guys will like you better when your older and i bet your age to and a tall pretty person has a better chance of being an actor and be beutiful model!

Competitors may begin jumping at any height announced by the chief judge, or may pass, at their own discretion. Three consecutive missed jumps, at any height or combination of heights, will eliminate the jumper from competition.
EQUIPMENT AND VENUEHigh jumper's shoes can have a maximum thickness of 13 millimeters in the sole and 19 millimeters in the heel. The runway is at least 15 meters long. Competitors may place as many as two markers along the runway. The crossbar is 4 meters long.
GOLD, SILVER, AND BRONZEAthletes in the high jump must achieve an Olympic qualifying height and must qualify for their nation's Olympic team. A maximum of three competitors per country may compete in the high jump.Twelve jumpers participate in the Olympic high jump final. The victory goes to the jumper who clears the greatest height during the final. If two or more jumpers tie for first place, the tie-breakers are: 1) The fewest misses at the height at which the tie occurred; and 2) The fewest misses throughout the competition.
If the event remains tied, the jumpers have a jump-off, beginning at the next greater height. Each jumper has one attempt. The bar is then alternately lowered and raised until only one jumper succeeds at a given height.
