Can you clip your iguanas nails?
Presumably you're talking about a 'pet' hedgehog... Unless you're REALLY confident you can do it without harming the animal - the best solution would be to let a vet do it ! You can easily injure a struggling animal if you're not confident enough to do it. The easiest way to keep its nails in check - would be to provide some large pieces of slate in its enclosure. Slate is abrasive, and will file the animals nails as it walks.
How many legs does a green iguana have?
Like many reptiles, it has 4, not including the tail.
HI MY NAME'S AMANDA(:
Yes ! They have a complete skeleton including rib-cage, spine, legs and a skull !
Check your temperatures ! The main reason for them not eating is their tank is too cold for them to digest their food properly. If the tank is at the correct temperature, then take it to a vet for a check-up !
Technicaly, no because the definition of a consumer is someone who buys products from someone else. If you were wondering what geckos eat, they eat incects such as crickits, roaches, mealworms, waxing worms, ect. 8)

How long does a desert iguana live for?
It will live for at least as long as you let it live for. If you take really good care of your desert iguana, it will live for up to 15 to 20 years old. If you take bad care for your desert iguana it will live for a shorter time.
What does a iguana need for survival?
they need many things
1.) proper lighting: iggs need both UVA and UVB light. I recommend the Powersun lights made by ZooMed. It needs to be within a certain distance from the basking spot of the igg (within 18in from igg's basking spot)
2.) proper heating: there should be a range of temp for the igg. the basking spot should be about 95-105 degrees Fahrenheit. there should also be areas that are about 70 degrees. Iggs need a body temp of 85 deg to properly digest their food.
3.) proper diet: there are many awesome references for this online i suggest greenigsociety.org for a good food list. Remember never feed animal protein to igs, and lettuce is not good for them either, because it is mostly water with little nutritional value. there is a calcium:phosphorous ratio that should be kept ( i believe it is 2:1, but there is a little disagreement on that point).
4.) humidity: igs naturally live in tropical regions, so they need high humidity. mist them with water and bathe them daily (they can be potty trained to go in the tub when bathed)
5.) clean habitat: enough said with that I think. When cleaning where they live, be sure to use pet safe products. I use healthy habitat made by natural chemistry. Having a clean environment will help to keep them healthy.
6.) Space: your ig should have sufficient space. there should be areas for them to climb, hide, bask, eat, drink, and most importantly turn around when they need to. (my ig has an open enclosure, so I dont worry much about space, but space IS important)
there are other things you will find that your ig needs, but that varies from ig to ig...good luck :)
What are some ways Galapagas iguanas and South American iguanas are different?
Galapagos Iguanas feed mostly in sea water, off the rocky coasts of the Galapagos. (Aka Marine Iguanas). South American Iguanas or Green Iguanas live in areas of dense forest and vegitation, and spend most of their time basking high in trees.
There are also Galapagos Land Iguanas, just sayin'.
What is the maximum age chicken can live?
We've got a hen that's 11. She's arthritic (or the chicken equivalent), but she's still active and otherwise healthy. I've read it's possible for them to hit 25 but that they hardly ever do because of diseases and predators.
Iguana's are Herbivores. They eat dark, leafy green vegetables, such as, collard greens, mustard greens, parsley, dandelion greens, escarole, spinach, and kale. Iceberg lettuce should be avoided as it offers no nutritional value and iguanas can become hooked on it, refusing to eat other foods. Other vegetables that are good to offer include green beans, green peppers, frozen mixed vegetables, squash, and fruits, such as, bananas, apples, mangos, papaya. Iguana's eat flowers....pretty much all squash....dark greens.....wide variety of fruit.
Mostly algae.
Young crocodiles (hatchlings) will certainly eat grasshoppers, for small insects are their main menu in this fase. Not only grasshoppers are prey to young crocodiles, but also flees, caterpillars, small fish, etc. As they grow, they will target larger animals.

How can you tell if your iguana is a male or a female?
Telling the sex of a young iguana is very difficult and it is hard to determine whether they is male or female until they reach about two years of age. One of the easiest ways to find the sex of a juvenile iguana is to look between the thighs for enlarged pores or scales called "femoral pores". Males tend to have large femoral pores, so large that they can even protrude from the skin, so they can grip tightly onto the female during the mating season. Another feature that is prominent in males is found near the vent area. Some males develop lumps or bumps near the vent, called "hemipenal bulges". These are part of the males reproductive organ, so are not present in the female. The head can also give a clue as to the sex of the juvenile or adult iguana. The heads of the male tend to be squarer and larger, with larger jowls, than that of the female. Yet another tell-tale sign of the sex is that female become gravid and will lay eggs. Males on the other hand will become more aggressive when adult hood approaches and will also grow larger than the female. Males also have a much larger appetite and will tend to eat much more than the females. If the iguana is at least a year old, you can usually tell the sex of the iguana. If you look at the femoral pores on the thighs of the iguana, the pores will look larger and will look white on a male. They use the pores to mark their territory during breeding season. A female will have much smaller pores. Males have larger dewlaps and jowls (cheeks and beards). Males have bumps on their back legs called femoral pores which are much harder to see in females. If its a baby though, you may not be able to see these differences. If you really need to know the best option is to take the iguana to a vet who will be able to tell you for sure. I can tell pretty positively once they are about 2 years old but much younger than that and its not for sure. Also the spiny crest on the iguanas back is moderately larger for a male.
Are iguanas nocturnal or do they come out during the day?
Iguanas are diurnal, they are active during the day and sleep at night.
They will not produce babies. Although, scientists can take sperm from one species of iguana and an egg from the other species of the iguana and make a baby. But, that baby will not be able to reproduce.
