They undergo different life cycles and belong to entirely different animal groups. Rolly pollies remain as is, while maggots develop into adult flies through metamorphosis.

Had them couple months ago - pest control sprayed outside/inside - they were gone next day. Our futile spraying did not work. Supposedly if you don't treat problem they eventually fly and try to enter where light is in the house covering your walls.

Well my son has a male and female praying mantis in his insect carrier. Within minutes of placing the female inside the carrier they began mating. They have been hooked up for the last 30 hours and still they are in the position.
