As far as i know, IQ scores are all relative. 100 is the average, and a score is judged by what percentile of the population has gotten your score or above. (ex. someone that scores higher than 99% of the population will have an extremely high IQ)

IQ stands for Intelligence Quotient. There are a number of tests designed to assess one's IQ, one of the more popular ones being the Stanford-Binet, which must be renormed every few years so that 100 is average. It turns out the human IQ appears to be rising, with measureable differences occurring over 20 year spans.
