Muhammad was the founder of Islam, and lived from 570 CE to 632 CE. He had multiple marriages, and these have been the focus of great interest to many, Muslim and infidel alike. Why Muslims claim Muhammad as a prophet even though he never prophesied anything?
Quran says (meaning English translation):
{The Messenger (Muhammad) has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination." (285)}
[Quran, chapter 2, verse 285]
That he would have the highest position of the Prophets. That he would be given a great river for he and his followers to drink from in Paradise. That his nation would out-number all others and number one half of the people in Paradise. That his nation would be the first to enter Paradise. That the book he was given - the Qur'an - would be protected from error. And he was promised other things, as well. Peace be upon him and upon all the Prophets and Messengers of God.
Are there more than 25 prophets in Islam?
Islam has 124000 prophets. The Prophet Muhammad was the final and greatest of them. Though mostly it's the Semitic prophets of the Middle East that are mentioned in the Islamic faith. This isn't to say the Europeans, Native Americans, Africans, central Asians, Aborigines, South Pacificers, Indians, Far easterners etc weren't sent prophets as Muslims believe that Allah sent prophets to every people.
As well as the Prophet Muhammad - Other renowned prophets of Islam include Adam, Nuh (Noah), Musa (Moses), Harun (Aaron), Ibrahim (Abraham), Lut (Lot), Ismail (Ishmael), Is'haq (Isaac), Yacoob (Jacob), Yousef (Joseph), Daud (David), Sulaiman (Soloman), Yahya (John the baptist - though this isn't his role in Islam) & Isa (Jesus).
Others who are less known include Idris (Enoch*), Salih (Shaloh*), Hud (Eber*), Ayoub (Job), Zakariah, Shoaib (Jethro*), Dhulkifl (Eziekiel), Alias (Elijah), Alyasa (Elisha) & Yunus (Jonah)
The following are mentioned in hadith or known from Oral tradition; Ishaia (Isaiah), Sheeth (Seth), Uzair (Ezra), Danyal (Daniel), Armya (Jeremiah) & Samuel.
Dhul-Karnain, Joshua (Assistant to Moses), Imran (Father of Mary), Khidr & Luqman are all mentioned as great men but their prophethood hasn't been specified, so they may have just been great pious individuals favoured by Allah.

think!

The historian Ibn Saad tried to answer this question. His goal was not only to make a list of every woman who had ever met Muhammad but also to relate their biographies. This project is the final volume of his Tabaqat. I don't know how many women are listed in this book, but it's over 500.

What is Prophet Muhammad's son name?
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) had both sons and daughters, the first of whom was al-Qaasim, from whom he took his kunya Abu'l-Qaasim. He died in childhood, and it was said that he lived until he was old enough to ride. Then came Zaynab, and it was said that she was older than al-Qaasim; then Ruqayyah, Umm Kulthoom and Faatimah. It was said concerning each of them that she was older than her two sisters. It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbaas that Ruqayyah was the oldest of the three and that Umm Kulthoom was the youngest. Then 'Abd-Allaah was born to him. There is some dispute as to whether he was born after his Prophethood began or before. Some scholars said that he was born after his Prophethood began. There is also some dispute as to whether he was al-Tayyib or al-Taahir, or whether they were other children; the correct view is that these were nicknames given to him; and Allaah knows best. These children were all born from Khadeejah and he had no children from any other wife. Then Ibraaheem was born to him from his concubine Maariyah al-Qibtiyyah in 8 AH. (Zaad al-Ma'aad, 1/103).
So the sons and daughters of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) were all born to him from his wife Umm al-Mu'mineen Khadeejah (may Allaah be pleased with her), apart from Ibraaheem, who was born from the Prophet's concubine Maariyah (may Allaah be pleased with her), who was given to him as a gift by al-Muqawqis, the king of Alexandria and the leader of the Copts.
According to the most correct opinion, he had seven children, three boys and four girls. The boys were:
1- al-Qaasim
2- 'Abd-Allaah
3- Ibraaheem
And
The girls were:
1- Zaynab
2- Ruqayyah
3- Umm Kulthoom
4- Faatimah
All of his children died during his lifetime, apart from Faatimah who died after him (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

The two groups after mohammed's death?
It split into sects.
It started as a political disagreement. Some Muslims (known today as the Shias or the Shiites) wanted Ali, the Prophet's cousin, to be the next leader. The rest of the Muslims (known today as the Sunnis) argued that the Prophet had chosen Abu Bakr when he had asked Abu Bakr to lead the prayer in his place while the Prophet was on his deathbed.
Of course, today, it doesn't matter who was the first leader. However, what started as a political disagreement has, with time, turned into a religious one. While they agree on the Quran, they have many disputes over Hadiths, arguing which are authentic and how they should be understood. In shortest terms, they have become two separate schools of thought.
Many Shias and Sunnis still live together peacefully, though. Disagreement doesn't necessarily mean the two are not compatible. In fact, many Muslims choose not to be known as Sunni or Shia, but just Muslim.

Before Muhammad became the prophet of Islam he was doing what?
Islam was not founded by prophet Muhammad (PBUH) or any human. Islam is an Arabic word that means submission to Allah (God in English). In this universal sense, it is Allah command to all His creatures since start of universe creation and even before. As for mankind, Allah left to people the choice of either submitting (or Islam) to Him or denying submitting (Islam) to Him and then on the Day of Judgment they will be either rewarded, forgiven, or punished by the All-Just All-Merciful Allah.
Accordingly, Islam is the religion named and founded by Allah (God in English).
Islam per Quran revelation to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) started by start of God revelation of the first verse of Quran in year 610 AD through the revelation of the last verse of Quran in year 632 AD.
The Prophet Muhammad.
Answer AMuhammad peace be upon him, did not start Islam. He was Allah's last messenger just like Mooses ,Jesus and many others. Angel Gabriel was sent by Allah to the Prophet to reveal the Holy book Quran over him so he would preach it to others. Answer BIn addition to the above, that I fully agree upon, I would like to add the following:Islam religion is not a human religion to have a human founder. Islam religion is the religion per God revelation of Quran to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through the angel Gabriel. Quran revelation started by year 610 AD and continued through year 632 Ad (year of prophet Muhammad death).
It is also important to highlight that Islam is an Arabic word that means submission to God and surrender to His will. The root of the word Islam is 'selm' that means peace. This indicates that peace between you and yourself and God and between yourself and mankind is achieved through submission to God, the Creator, i.e through Islam.
In light of this universal sense of Islam, God says in Quran that Islam is the faith of all prophets and their followers since start of mankind, including Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (Peace be upon them all). Islam is even God mission to all God creations including our universe, the planets, the sun and the moon, the rivers and the seas, ..., and all that we know and that we don't know. All these creatures have full submission (Islam) to God, the one and only one God with no partner, no son, and no associate.
Answer CIslam is NOT a new religion founded by Prophet Mohammad(peace be on him). Islam means submission and obedience to the creator who created us. A person who does Islam is a Muslim, like a person who drives is a driver and a person who sings is a singer. A person does NOT become a Muslim because of a name or because he was born in a particular geographic location or family. If a person irrespective of his name, skin color, social status etc submits and obeys the creator, he is called as a Muslim in Arabic. If you submit and obey your creator, you are called a Muslim. All the prophets of God right from Adam,Noah,Solomon,Abraham,David,JESUS(peace be on them all) practiced and preached the same way of life called Islam(Submission to the CREATOR). The last and the FINAL Prophet and Messenger of God was Prophet Mohammad(peace be on him). WHAT DOES THE QURAN SAY? The message of all the prophets of God was the same. All the prophets of God taught people to worship the God who created them (complete submission and obedience to God). "And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me." QURAN Chapter 21: Verse 25 Prophet Mohammed (peace be on him) did not bring a new message. He too revived the same message brought by the previous prophets sent by God. Recite: "Nothing is said to you, [O Mohْammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you." QURAN Chapter 41: Verse 43 He has ordained for you of the same religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which We have revealed to you, [O Mohْammad], and what We enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus. (QURAN Chapter 42: Verse 13) Refer to link below.Where did Muhammad and his followers flee after they were persecuted in Mecca?
What is the name of Prophet Muhammad's goats?
Two sheep: Ghawtha (also Ghaytha) and Qamar
One goat: al-Yamin
Apart from these milch animals, there were seven manāʾiḥgoats. The term manāʾiḥ refers to milch animals, be they camels, sheep or goats, that are lent by their owner to another person who can milk them and use their milk for a term, usually until these animals cease to give milk. Baraka
Warisa
Iṭlāl
