Well I'm assuming you mean the Champion 12 gauge single shot?

If so by the cocking pin there is a lever that moves vertical left from right. Turn the lever right an the barrel breaks. (The lever basicaly right on top of the stock )

Not a lot of serial number data out there for these revolvers. There were made as a "lower price" arm by the Iver Johnson Company from ABOUT 1910 to ABOUT 1940.

To remove the slide from an Iver Johnson TM22PB Trailside:

(1) pull the slide back

(2) push down on the take down button (top of the slide in front of the rear sights)

(3) push the slide forward (if you did this correctly the recoil spring is pinned and the slide will not be forced closed).

(4) take the side grips off

(5) drift the mainspring housing pin out

(6) remove the mainspring housing (the spring is pinned so there's no worry of anything launching).

(7) take the slide off

The Iver Johnson Model 50 Sidewinder is a double action revolver designed to look like a classic single action. The action (trigger/hammer) looks and operates exactly like any other double action revolver. However, IJ (as did a couple of other manufacturers from the 50's through the 70's) dressed the basic double action frame and lockwork with features more closely related to single actions like the Colt 1873.

Single action features include: faux stag grip shape and aesthetics, pinned (non-swing-out) cylinder, loading gate and integral ejector rod. Although the revolver can be fired in either mode, reloading the pistol follows the manual of arms for the single action genre (eject empties individually through the loading gate or completely remove the cylinder from the frame).

It's covered under the National Firearms Act of 1934. Essentially, it's illegal to do without an NFA tax stamp, as what you're essentially doing is creating something which falls into the category of Short Barreled Rifle.
