In the movie Titanic one of the special effects used often was motion capture. When the film shows people on the boat falling off when the boat is sinking the real people were shot in a motion capture environment and then digitally placed in the scene. They also used small models to show the boat from far away.

He finds Neytiri the princess of the Omyticaya people played by Zoe Saldana. She does not like him at first, but then seeds of the sacred tree touch him. Eywa the Na'vi's goddess controls everthing. Neytiri takes Jake to Hometree where he meets her father, Etyukan and her mother Mo'at. Mo'at tells Neytiri to teach Jake how to be an Omyticaya. He goes through languages, learing how to hunt, jump and use his queue which has T'sahaulyu on it which looks like a braid that attaches to everything. Jake learns how to ride a Banshee which Neytiri's is named Seze. While riding a giant firey colored banshee attacks them. Neytiri later tells Jake that that was Toruk "last shadow" Banshee are your owners if they try to kill you. Banshees are also called Ikrans. Only gifted people are able to ride Toruk. Jake becomes an offical Omyticaya and has a ceromony. He and Neytiri go to the tree of voices. They mate with each other by joining braids, kissing, moaning, and touching. The next day, Neytiri wakes up because a tractor tears up the tree and Jake is not able to wake up because he is not in the avatar machine. Neytiri screams and yells and finally he wakes up destroying the cameras. Quaritch his boss finds this video and decides to destroy hometree. Neytiri and Jake find there way back finally telling that they are mated for life and married. Tsu'tey an omyticaya tries to kill Jake after Quaritch finds the machine hideout and press a button that causes the avatar in the machine to black out and wake up in their human form. Neytiri stops him by flipping him over and threating him with a knife. Later, Jake wakes up and tries to explain that Quaritch's army is coming to destroy Hometree and he knew that this would happen all along. Neytiri yells and screams at him thinking she could trust him. Every doesn't believe him, so they tie him up and try to fight them off. They don't succed and Hometree is destroyed. Neytiri's father is killed with Jake trying to comfort her, but she screams at him telling him to never come back. His friend Grace is shot during this attempt. They get into the machines and Jake is able to ride Toruk. He rides to the tree of souls where he finds the clan praying. They are shocked and Neytiri says I see you. Jake says I see you. Tsu'tey becomes his brother and they get Grace at night time to bring her soul into her avatar body forever with the help of Eywa. They preform the ritual, but Grace dies. Jake makes a speech and they ride to different clans to prepare for a war. The war follows and Seze, Neytiri's Banshee is killed. Tsu'Tey is killed by being shot by army men. Jake shoots bombs in Quaritch's air craft, but he escapes. Neytiri attacks him, but her animal is killed on top of her, not allowing her to escape. She hisses at him. Jake comes and has a fight with Quaritch that is near his avatar machine. Quaritch busts open a window exposing Pandora's atmosphere to Jake machine causing him to have minor black outs. James Cameron is a screenwriter, producer and film director. Some of his films:
Avatar takes place on Pandora, a moon of Alpha Centauri 1.
Salaries always vary for a fimmaker... If they sell there stuff/ creations... they get more. IT ALL VARIES. I think the minimum is 50k'ish
The word "avatar" in Hindu mythology refers to the incarnation of a deity on Earth, normally in a human or animal form. One opinion is that in the movie humans thought that they were superior to the Na'vi, so manifesting themselves as one of them could be used as a deity-like means of control or influence.
The word "avatar" can also refer to an embodiment or temporary manifestation of an entity, idea, or principle; a human connects to and "embodies" their avatar body. Other opinions believe that this is the intended meaning.
James Cameron directed Titanic. He also directed Avatar, which became the highest-grossing film of all time (Titanic previously held this title). Other films by Cameron include Aliens and The Terminator.
The film was shot on the proprietary FUSION digital 3D cameras developed by James Cameron in collaboration with Vince Pace.
Director James Cameron stated The Terminator was inspired by two episodes of the 1960s television science fiction series The Outer Limits - "Soldier" and "Demon with the Glass Hand" These were written by science fiction author Harlan Ellison. This source is credited in the releases of the movie.
On April 22nd 2017, James Cameron made yet another announcement as to the release dates for his Avatar sequels. After several previous start / release dates, this time he claims the sequels will be released on December 18th 2020 for Avatar 2 & December 17th 2021 for Avatar 3. There will be a three year gap with Avatar 4 released on December 20th 2024 & the 5th on December 19th 2025.
As mentioned, with so many delays in production & release dates changes that came before there's no reason to believe these are set in stone but of course, time will tell.

In December 2017 it was announced Disney would be buying most of 21st Century FOX, a deal that should be finalized by the Summer of 2019.
On April 23rd 2018, he made a public statement that he was 100 days into shooting the first two sequels under his FOX deal. The Disney acquisition is important because the last two sequels will fall under Disney's review & if the first two aren't successful, there may not be third & fourth part.
They do however, have a stake in Avatar thanks to their 'Pandora: World of Avatar' at Disney World's Animal Kingdom, so it's entirely possible they'll agree to a third & fourth part.
The "Avatar" movie has a running time of 162 minutes (2 hrs, 42 mins).
The stories are not related in any way, nor are James and Julia Cameron related.
I don't know. Personally, it sucked for me.
