How did James Cameron come up with Avatar?

The word "avatar" in Hindu mythology refers to the incarnation of a deity on Earth, normally in a human or animal form. One opinion is that in the movie humans thought that they were superior to the Na'vi, so manifesting themselves as one of them could be used as a deity-like means of control or influence.

The word "avatar" can also refer to an embodiment or temporary manifestation of an entity, idea, or principle; a human connects to and "embodies" their avatar body. Other opinions believe that this is the intended meaning.

When is the sequel for James Cameron's Avatar due to be released?

On April 22nd 2017, James Cameron made yet another announcement as to the release dates for his Avatar sequels. After several previous start / release dates, this time he claims the sequels will be released on December 18th 2020 for Avatar 2 & December 17th 2021 for Avatar 3. There will be a three year gap with Avatar 4 released on December 20th 2024 & the 5th on December 19th 2025.

As mentioned, with so many delays in production & release dates changes that came before there's no reason to believe these are set in stone but of course, time will tell.

In December 2017 it was announced Disney would be buying most of 21st Century FOX, a deal that should be finalized by the Summer of 2019.

On April 23rd 2018, he made a public statement that he was 100 days into shooting the first two sequels under his FOX deal. The Disney acquisition is important because the last two sequels will fall under Disney's review & if the first two aren't successful, there may not be third & fourth part.

They do however, have a stake in Avatar thanks to their 'Pandora: World of Avatar' at Disney World's Animal Kingdom, so it's entirely possible they'll agree to a third & fourth part.

Why did they decide to build the titanic?

The iconic British ship was built to transport significant number of passengers across the Atlantic, being the largest cruise liner in the world when it was launched. It also carried mail and some small cargo, but it was primarily designed to carry people in relative comfort across the ocean. In 1912, air travel was still in its infancy and not very comfortable, or even safe.

In business terms, the Titanic was built by the White Star Line to compete with the rival Cunard Line's newest ships, the Mauretania and the Lusitania (the latter also met an untimely end in 1915).

Crossing the Atlantic

Cruise line companies were the airlines of that time. No one had even crossed the Atlantic by air.

The only way travel across continents was by ship. The companies needed to carry passengers of every class to make a profit. So a large ship with luxury accomodation for the 1st class passengers, and a big capacity for 2nd and 3rd class passengers, could make the maximum amount of money from a single voyage. Titanic had the swankiest 1st class decks and even the third class passengers were in small cabins (up to 8 passengers) instead of in large dormitories which was more common.

By building the Ttanic and her 2 sister ships, the White Star Line hoped to have the most up-to-date fleet and be the first choice for passengers crossing the Atlantic, whether they were rich or poor.

My name is kaylah

$$$$. There was strong competition between shipping lines. Each line wanted the biggest, fastest, fanciest ship. Having that brought business to the shipping line.
White Star created Titanic, Olympic, and Britannic to compete against Cunard's Lusitania and Mauratania
To make money for the company that owned it. It was to be the largest, fastest, grandest ship of all- and people would want to pay to travel on the Titanic.

In James Cameron's 'Avatar' what does it mean when Colonel Quaritch says 'You don't dream in cryo'?

Cryo is short for cryogenics. Cryogenics is a branch of physics that deals with very low temperatures, and theories are working to find ways to cryogenically freeze living organisms and revive them at a later date. Some ideas are to freeze people who have incurable diseases and then revive them at a future date when a cure or treatment is available. In the case of Avatar and many other science fiction stories, the idea is to put space travelers in cryo to travel very long distances that would be too great for the average human lifespan.

In reference to the quote "You don't dream in cryo," the theories behind cryogenics would put a person in a state where all body functions, including brain activity, would cease and turned over to life support systems.

How does James Cameron's Avatar end?

The story starts with the main character, Jake Sulley finishing his brothers mission. When he gets to his designated place, they give him his avatar body. Not to soon after, they head for Pandora, but while they were there, Sulley gets lost trying to get away from a "Pandora animal." It's soon night time, and he runs into these wolves/dogs. Let's just say that it was Pandora style. Right when they started to gang up on him, Neytiri, who is a Avatar from the Na'vi tribe steps in and stops them. When Eywa gave Neytiri a sign and she brought him to the rest of the Na'vi tribe. They decided to train Jake so that he can join them. While Neytiri is training him they fall in love. But what Jake doesn't know is that Colonel Quaritch is trying to destroy the tree that the Na'vi's treasure because underneath the tree, there is an energy source that the military wants. He destroys it but Sulley, being one of the tribe, tries to stop them, but they catch him on the camera. Sulley and Dr. Grace are in trouble and are put in this room but soon Trudy, who is the pilot gets them out and they are going back to their avatar bodies. Before I spoil the ending, I should just stop here. That was a brief summary of the movie, but I assure you that the movie is way better than how i described it.
