Is there a planet called Pandora?
It's real in our minds. There is an astronomically small possibility of a planet existing that is close to Pandora but not quite. Other than that, it's all fiction from the movie 'Avatar'.
Pandora is also the fictional name of the planet for the popular role playing shooter game Borderlands.

Will the Characters in 'Avatar' be played by the same actors in 'Avatar 2'?
Yes. In fact, in 2006 he said if the movie is successful he'll make 2 more movies. After the films recent success, James Cameron has confirmed that there will be a sequel, most likely continuing from the end of the first film and following Jake Sully and Neytiri. No development plans nor a title have been announced yet.
The toruk (or The Great Leonopteryx as people from Earth call it) is "at the top of the food chain" and prides itself in flying high above everything else. As it is the "predator of all predators" it has no need to be wary and so doesn't look above it to check for danger. Jake used that to his advantage and flew, on his mountain banshee (Na'vi word : ikran), above a toruk and jumped from his banshee to the toruk's back and quickly bonded with it.
Is avatar the movie related to Avatar the Last Airbender?
Excerpted from Wikipedia :
"In a world where the four elements can be controlled by people known as "Benders", the Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war to control the other great nations. The only hope for stopping the brutal war led by the Firebenders rests on the shoulders of a reluctant young boy named Aang (Noah Ringer). The last known survivor of the peaceful Air Nomads and the Airbenders, Aang is the "Avatar". The "Avatar" is the physical re-incarnation of the spirit world, with the power to manipulate all four elements and draw upon the power, knowledge, and experiences of the Avatar's previous incarnations. The Avatar is responsible for maintaining balance between the four nations of the world and the spirit world, hence keeping the balance of the world. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Nicola Peltz) and her bull-headed brother Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), Aang begins a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. Standing in their way are Fire Nation Admiral Zhao (Aasif Mandvi) and Prince Zuko (Dev Patel), the banished prince of the Fire Nation who seeks to capture the young Avatar to regain his honor."
Avatar is transcendental in the way that it touches upon "new life" and nature. When Jake Sully enters into Pandora, he is trying to adapt to the Na'vi culture to become on of them. Also, if you saw the movie and remember the scence where the Na'vi people were worshipping Mother Nature, that is a spiritual aspect which is also transcendental trait.

What causes the Hallelujah Mountains to float in 'Avatar'?
The system in which Pandora is located in is quite different than our own. Many things affect the magnetic fields on Pandora. Massive amounts of the superconductive element Unobtainuim is located beneath the surface; this element can both repel magnetic fields and trap them within itself. With the presence of this element, along with the proximity to the gas giant Polyphemus, the planet Pandora orbits, and the interaction of their respective magnetic fields, Pandora is home to erratic and intense magnetic field activity.
The Hallelujah Mountains themselves are thought to be volcanic rock that was repelled from the surface by very high amounts of magnetic field activity, and cooled in midair. The chunks themselves are rich in Unobtainium and are constantly caught in a magnetic flux between the field from the Unobtainium in the craters on the surface and the mutual magnetic repulsion of the Unobtainium within the broken away pieces. This causes them to hover in midair.

Who will teach the Avatar firebending?
Well, you see, people learned waterbending from the moon and the tides of the sea. Earthbenders learned from badger-moles, which appear in the series, in Book Two: Earth. Firebenders learned from dragons, like Iroh, Aang, and Zuko. Airbenders learned from the air bison (also known as wind buffalo) like Appa. Assuming Appa is not the last air bison, the next Avatar will have to study airbending from Appa or another air bison (even though Appa is the last air bison, who knows?) Also, rumour has it that airbenders did not die out and that they learned to 'become' wind. So they may well return. But that is just a rumour...
There have been many theories as to what would happen after Aang is gone. At the end of the series Aang learned how to bend the 'energy' inside people. And like Iroh who learned a technique by studying waterbenders, I'm pretty sure that Aang can still teach airbending. And if at all possible, bend their energy to create a new generation of airbenders. I don't think we've seen the last of them.
Aang can write a scroll and the next Avatar can learn from it. And if his kids are airbenders, he can teach them, who can then have airbender kids of their own and teach them. And so on.
Here's my theory:
In the end, we all saw that Aang kissed Katara. There's a high probability that Aang will marry Katara and have airbender kids, since its rare for Southern Water Tribe to have waterbender. Aang's kids will learn how to bend air and the Cycle continues. Aang's kids will get married, get children, and pass on the airbending skill. The future airbenders nomads will repopulate and teach the Avatar airbending.
Right, well, the above is true, but no-one said that the next Avatar could come from JUST the Southern Water Tribe. Since the Avatar Cycle goes air, water, earth, fire that means the next Avatar will be born within one of the Water Tribes. It may be Aang's child, who knows? One way or another, I don't think on any level that he is the last ever airbender. We have not seen the last of them, so let's just leave it there, shall we?
